I am an avid Outdoors person and 11 yr Veterinary Assistant/Animal Shelter Attendant. My recent career shift into auxiliary police services has given me more time to pursue my life long passion of starting an Adventure Dog Walking Business and I am currently looking to gain amazing clientele. I have had formal education and training in animal health including first aid and canine behavior and I have significant experience with many breeds and personality types, including rescues who are relearning what it means to be a family pet. Hikes and walks will take place locally at various provincial parks and trails and will be suited to each individual dogs needs and capabilities. Your dog will be picked up and dropped off at the location of your choosing and will ride with me in a newer model Ford F150 Super crew cab. Meet and greets are generally required before a scheduled walk so I can get a feel for their energy level and over all personality as well as get acquainted with both dog and owner. If your pet is social (or small in size and needs to work on social behaviors with similar sized dogs) they will likely be accompanied by my 2 seasoned hiking Dachshunds. Other dog walking pairings will be carefully assessed and approved by both parties prior to the dogs meeting. I understand that your pet is family and I will treat them as if they are my own, I know how hard it can be to trust someone else with your beloved pet. Due to the fact that I am maintaining a part time shift-work job my days of availability will vary from week to week. I should still be able to maintain a weekly walk for your furry friend rain or shine and hopefully as time goes on my availability will increase. Questions?
