Long time foster & rescue volunteer

Pet care experience

As an experienced and long time foster, I have cared for dogs in my home with varying needs and personalities. I provide lots of affection, as well as necessary structure, to ensure a balanced and fun stay for all. I also have a sweet, Boxer-mix Zoe (50 lbs), and a Sato from Puerto Rico named Ellie (15 lbs), who love their foster siblings, and boarding mates & love to play, cuddle, and bring them out of their shell, especially little dogs. I have a few years of experience with rescue dogs, including puppy mill dogs, and street rescues, because of that I'm very confident working with shy, nervous dogs that need a little more TLC. In my personal time, I work as the social media coordinator for a dog rescue, and walk dogs for a friend's dog company.

Jennifer is the absolute best with all animals. She is a true animal lover who genuinely cares about all pets and treats them as if they are her own. Jennifer has been dog sitting for me for the last five years and my dog loves her and her dogs. It’s such an amazing feeling to know that when you are away, your dog is in incredible hands. Jennifer takes my dog on daily walks and looks after my dog whenever I’m on vacation. My dog is always excited to see Jennifer! Your pets will be in the best hands. :)

I was comforted to have Jennifer's wealth of fostering experience on my side when leaving her to watch our foster dog and our two cats while we were gone for a weekend night. Ullie the foster pup had lots of things he wasn't good at yet when we went out of town: his human manners are humpy, he was not good at being alone, he was super pully and strong on the leash, and his cat behavior is murder-y so keeping him separated in the house was literally life and death. Jennifer rolled with all these challenges with ease. But best of all, when our foster dog devoured most of a knee bone in the 15 min before we left the house and I got worried that we had to call the trip off in case there were digestive issues or emergency vet visits while we were gone, Jennifer assured me she had experience to indicate this was fine and she could handle anything if it came up. Sure enough, everything was fine! So I would wholeheartedly book with Jennifer again and recommend anyone with difficult pups feel reassured that Jennifer is a great pick for their pet sitting needs.

Information Jennifer R. would like to know about your pet

Generally, I think it is important to know the baseline of the following questions to ensure the safest possible stay for all. Thank you! -Are they crate-trained? -Are they house broken? -Do they have separation anxiety? -Any resource guarding? (Humans and dogs?) -Do they eat food/items off the street? -Do they have any known triggers while on leash? -Are they destructive? (Shoes, clothing, furniture, etc?) -What is their activity level/requirement?

A typical day

There are many neighborhood parks, and I love to take Zoe and Ellie to Jefferson Park right across the street, where I love to take my boarders, with pet parent approval, of course!
