Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and cats as well as many small animals! I currently have two cats and pet rats of my own but our family dogs are still a huge part of my life as well as always living with dogs of all kinds. I'm familiar with the trail systems if your dog is into hiking, and neighborhood walks are also on the table! High energy pups? No worries... I like to think I'm quite accomplished in playtime and can tire out the most hyper of furballs. I have been house sitting & dog-walking for 7 years with Rover, with many years caring for pets of family and friends. Currently, I watch my roommate's dog & house sit often for my parents and aunt often, either three large dogs or two small dogs, walks often and bathroom breaks every four hours. I will always leave the house clean, and you'll hardly know I was there. I hope you would trust me to take good care of your best friend :)

Jennifer took great care of our dog and puppy. I was nervous about leaving them, especially the puppy, but had something come up last minute. She came to our home and took great care, kept me informed on how they were doing. I will definitely use her again.

Depending on the situation, I make sure all doors are kept closed and locked while we are home, that the leash is on and securely held before the doors are open. I also like to keep the client's house clean and will make sure to clean up all living areas before I leave.

No breed preferences, but I would like to be aware of how the dogs acts around other animals or if they are a "runner" (as if I should be extremely careful opening and closing the door efficiently behind me).
A typical day
I know the local trail system fairly well from my hiking and mountain biking experience, but also frequent the loop if you're located close to it. I can also do neighborhood walks as necessary, or if the dog is a more nervous walker, I enjoy playing fetch or just lounging around the house as well.

Availability
I am a full-time teacher during the week but I get plenty of school breaks as well. I am also a part-time mechanic at a local bike shop, but my boss is super understanding if I have a house-sitting job to tend to. I leave for bike races often but try to keep my calendar as current as possible.
