Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs present in my life ever since I can remember. Specifically, I’ve had 4 dogs in the course of my lifetime and currently still have 2- two passed away from old age, 16 and 17. Due to this, I have experience with senior age dogs. I currently have two dogs of varying breeds and sizes, Lola-chihuahua:4 pounds, Leilani-German shepherd/Rottweiler mix: 93 pounds and they are both my pride and joy. While I have not been on Rover for long, I have spent a great part of my time caring for friends’, neighbors’ and my extended family’s pets (both cats and dogs) when they are out of town. I am responsible and hardworking and eager to learn. I’m looking to earning some supplemental income to put towards paying for school as I am rapidly approaching my final year at UNT for a B.S. in Education. I would love it if you and your furry friend(s) would take a chance on me! 🐾

As pet parents leaving for vacation for the first time in 2.5 years, our anxiety levels were high as we searched for someone to stay with our Eliza. However, once we found Jennifer, our worries vanished. She cared for Eliza as though she were her own pet, attentive and thoughtful and extremely accommodating with our requests and last-minute changes. To be able to take a vacation and know our pet (and our home) was being watched over by Jennifer was an enormous weight lifted. Jennifer's daily updates, complete with videos and photos, made sure we stayed connected. However, perhaps the best review comes from Eliza herself, who so enjoyed her time with Jennifer that she got visibly sad when she realized Jennifer was packing up to leave on her last day. And while we hate to give away what feels like a hidden gem - we cannot recommend Jennifer highly enough: She's thorough, responsible and caring, and the answer to any pet parent's prayers.
Jennifer did an amazing job watching my three pets (2 dogs and a cat). She came and had a “meet and greet” prior to the date, and made them feel comfortable with her, which made me feel comfortable and at ease leaving them with her for three days. She is very friendly and they all loved her. She sent videos and pics throughout the stay and made sure each one was not only cared for but received some TLC. I will definitely use her again and would highly recommend her to anyone.

I will ensure your pets are fed, have consistent access to water, and have supervised outdoor time (recreational or not). I can also crate your dog if needed. They will receive ample love and care while under my supervision. I am able to administer oral medications, follow instructions well and keep your pet(s) happy and healthy while you are away!

I would like to know your dog’s temperament ahead of time: are they friendly with strangers, other dogs, or other animals? Are they mischievous? (Steal things off a counter, get into trash?). Are they house trained? Do you have a local veterinarian? Does your pet have any medical issues (require special diet, medications, care)? Is your pet anxious? (Afraid of things: storms, rain, etc)?
A typical day
When pet sitting, I enjoy stimulating your dog both physically and mentally. Rest assured your dog will receive plenty of walks, play time, and belly scratches and love while under my direct supervision and per your instructions/needs.

Availability
As I have now finished school for the semester, I am available for dog walks, Mondays and Wednesdays after 5:00pm, and any other time on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. During the weekends, I have a more flexible availability to suit your various needs (in house dog sitting, drop in visits, dog walks). August 30th, I will be starting my final year at UNT for my degree in Education and will have limited availability due to college classes as well as student teaching internship.
