Hello there! My name is Jen! I adore animals and am a recent transplant to San Diego, from Pittsburgh. I work as a Professor, but only need to be on campus twice a week for a 6 hour shift. This allows me plenty of free time and assures that even on the two days of work, my pets are not left more than 6.5 hours alone. Much of my free time is spent with my dog, Mario and cat, Ziggy - who are two of the sweetest and gentlest animals I've ever known. Both are around 8 years old and get along very well with other animals. I live in the East Village area of San Diego in a pet friendly apartment complex with an on site dog run - for quick bathroom breaks. I am within walking distance of a fenced in dog park. I am able to also take walks and runs with dogs, and this can include quality time at Balboa Park as well.

Jennifer is the best cat sitter ever! She is extremely thoughtful, considerate, organized, and thorough. Jennifer provides detailed daily posts and photos so we always know how our cat is doing. She administers medications, attends to the cat’s water fountain, and cleans up messes. Even better, she is so loving to our cat! I always know our cat will have the best care when we hire Jennifer. On our latest two-week trip she even watered my plants and brought up the mail! You can’t go wrong hiring Jennifer, she is amazing!!
Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure my cat got food, water, and plenty of pets, even after my apartment’s front office made it difficult. She even sent me photos of him while I was out of town for work. I absolutely recommend her services!
I've been hiring Rover dog sitters for more than 5 years, and Jennifer by far has been our favorite. She was very responsive since day one, she was genuinely interested in knowing about the pups and their preferences. She was very proactive and fully engaged. She sent pictures and status every single day. My flight was delayed and she was able to assist with my pups no questions asked. She was truly a sweetheart and we were lucky to have her. I recommend her 200%.
Jennifer took care of my cat Mosby while I was out of town for 10 days. The longest amount of time I've been away from him, but I knew he was in good hands after meeting Jennifer. She's very kind and professional and sent me pictures/updates every morning and evening. I felt comfortable being away for that long because she did such a great job.

I have two lovely pets that are the joys of my life. My dog, named Mario, is an 8 year old Cavachin (part Cavalier King Charles and part Japanese Chin). Mario is very friendly with all dogs and is used to being around animals in general. He is simply lovely. I also have a cat, named Ziggy, who is also around 8 years old. He keeps to himself mostly and is used to being around dogs and is very friendly. Neither of my pets are aggressive and both are treated like kings!
A typical day
I've had a dog in my life since I was 20 years old, and can not imagine life without at least one! Since that age, I have been responsible for "petsitting" family and friend's dogs. No dog has been too small or too big! I will pamper your dog during their stay! I provide a safe place for them to be taken care of and will always keep you in the loop via calls, texts, FaceTime, Skype, etc. Whether it's long trail runs at the local park or simply relaxing in front of the t.v. with a treat or toy, you can rest assure that each dog will receive unconditional love! Dogs are permitted to be on any surface in the house! This includes my bed, if they wish! Alternatively, I have a spare bed in the next room, and doggy beds/blankets.
