I grew up in a California household of pets so it was an easy choice to become a registered veterinary technician. As a child I had the usual variety of hamsters, guinea pigs and even a desert tortoise who hibernated at the bottom of a trash can in the garage. Most of my chldhood pictures include a dog. Due parental restraints, I didn't get my first kitty until I moved out but was never until recently without one or 3. Now that I am retired, I miss the interactions with the fur babies. At one point in my life, I had 2 labs and a a great dane.. We were quite the spectacle when we took our daily walks! My sweet great dane was my second rescue in addition to many fostered kittens and baby birds. I've been teased about talking to my animals but I believe intent and tone of voice are reasuring. While your pet in is my care they will receive my undivided attention and love.
