My family has had a wonderful cat (Minerva) for the last eleven years, but recently lost our 16-year-old rescue dog (Shadida) to old age. In her later years, we did not want to travel and leave Shadida in a kennel, as she was a special, elderly, anxious girl and would not have done well. Because Shadida is gone and we miss her terribly, we would love the opportunity to take care of your pets in our (owned) home while giving you peace of mind that they are safe, well looked after, and that their routines are kept intact - minimising any stress that they may have while you are away. That's exactly what Shadida would have needed, and I would love to offer it to your furry family member! I grew up with dogs, ducks, chickens, zebra finches, hamsters, parakeets, fish, frogs and a horse, so I am well-versed in animal care. I have house and pet-sat for numerous people through the years, starting by dog-sitting for my neighbour when I was just twelve years old, and for several co-workers and bosses throughout my adult years. You can rest assured that your babies will be walked, fed and watered, played with, cuddled, groomed, and that their bedding is kept clean. I have rescued and fostered hundreds (not kidding!) of dogs and puppies while living and working on the Navajo Indian Reservation for nearly ten years, and am well-versed in bottle feeding newborn puppies , as well as giving medications and immunisations to all ages of dogs . Our house is safe and secure - we have three spacious floors and a back garden which is fully enclosed by high brick walls and a metal garage door, so even a furry Houdini will not be able to escape! We live close to the Maesteg Welfare Park and various country walks are nearby, so your pup will have all the exercise and fun they need!
