Hello. My husband Josh and I would love to host your dog in our home. We are only taking dogs from one client at a time, so your dog will be given all the love, attention, and comfort that our own pets receive. Josh and I both have great work schedules that allow one of to always be home during the day with our 3 year old, so someone is always at home to care for our four legged guests. We own our home here in Lompoc, and we have a big backyard for running and playing. We have a Golden Retriever and a Goldendoodle who are very happy to play all day with new friends, and they are laid back enough that they give space to dogs who need it. They are great with dogs of all sizes and ages. Our three children are also very good with dogs (they leave them alone, they don't pick up or pull on their bodies, and they don't tease or chase). Josh and I have hosted several pets of all sizes and temperaments with no issues. We love making guest feel comfortable and safe while they are in our home. We are flexible and can adjust to dogs different temperaments and exercise needs. We hope to be able to host your dog soon!

Jennifer quickly responded to my request and to inquiries about what time I could drop my dog off and pick her up. She sent a few happy dog pictures and a message during my dogs stay. Most importantly, my dog seemed happy both when I dropped her off and when I picked her up-this isn't true of typical boarding experiences where I have to practically drag her in to drop her off.
Have I mentioned yet Jennifer is my favorite in the whole world. Between children, other dogs, herself, my dog is never alone. She is always excited to see her when dropping her off.

Please let me know your dogs normal walking and feeding schedule so that I can adhere to their routine as closely as possible, their usual sleeping arrangements (kennel, couch, floor) so I can try to make them most comfortable and any behavioral quirks I should be aware of (do they jump a lot, bark excessively, do they only like to be pet on the head, are they are afraid of the vaccumm, do they always try to dig under the fence, etc.) and any behaviors you want me to enforce during their stay (no dogs on furniture, do they need to sit before petting, etc.) If you would like your dog to sleep in a kennel to keep with their normal routine, I would ask that you please provide one for them.
A typical day
Staying with us your dog would have free run of the common areas of our household and our fenced backyard. You can expect your dog to be walked twice daily, bathed as needed (I will always bath and brush them before you pick them up, if desired), and given all the love and attention they would receive at home. If your dog is comfortable with it, I also love to take my guests to the dog park and dog beach in Santa Barbara.
