Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Jennifer and I live in Alexandria with my husband James, dog Joey, and rabbit Tootsie. I love animals and I have had pets my whole life, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I have many years of pet sitting experience and have cared for several dogs and cats through Rover, in addition to friend’s and neighbor’s pets over the years. During college, I also volunteered at the local SPCA where I walked and socialized dogs, and played with cats. I have cared for a variety of dogs, both big and small, with various personalities, and can handle just about any dog. I’m also able to provide special care and give medications. My husband and I love animals, and I promise your pets will be well taken care of, with plenty of attention and cuddles. My dog is very friendly and loves making new friends. He is great with other cats and dogs, and will be so happy to socialize and play with your pets. We would love to meet you all!

Jennifer was so easy to work with and was so great to our dog during her stay. Our dog can be quite anxious when we leave her and she seemed right at home. Jennifer is also great at sending a lot of pictures throughout the day so we know exactly what our pup was up to and how she was doing! Will definitely book with Jennifer again!

Jennifer and James are awesome! Our dog sitter cancelled on us last minute so we booked Jennifer the last minute. But it turned out to be the best experience our dog ever had. He demanded to go back to Jennifer's house right after we got home, which never happened before. Jennifer sent plenty of pictures every day. She responded quickly and very easy to communicate. Don't look anywhere else if you want a great loving dog sitter.

A typical day
We will go outside for walks often, play with toys inside, take naps and cuddle. I will make sure they are given water frequently, stay on their normal feeding schedules, and provide any other special care they need.

Availability
I’m available to board your pet at my home anytime, or provide drop in visits and dog walking services before/after work and on weekends. When boarding, I prefer to book pets from only one family at a time to provide the safest and least stressful environment for your pets. I would prefer to schedule a meet and greet with your pet soon after a booking request is made so that I can make sure we are a good fit. I am available for meet and greets after work on weekdays and anytime on weekends if I am home. I try to be as flexible as I can with drop off and pick up times, but I would prefer the times to occur before or after work, but before 7pm on weekdays. If you need to drop off your pet a day early, or pick them up the next day if arriving back in town late, let me know.
