My husband and I love dogs of all sizes and breeds! We have a small Jack Russell Mix named Gracie, a Maltese mix named Lux and four cats. So cat friendly dogs only please :O) Our house will be a fun, safe and relaxing oasis for your pup while you are away. We have a fully fenced backyard for your pup to run around and play in. We also have a pool if your dog is a water lover! Your pup will have unlimited (supervised) access to our yard. We live in a safe, quite, dog friendly neighborhood off of Far West Blvd. in Northwest Austin. If you would like, we will walk your dog on the shaded sidewalks or take him to the park for a stroll. We also offer pick up and drop off services (within 8 miles of our house) for no extra fee if our location isn't convenient for you! We would love to take care of your dog for you! About this sitter: My husband and I love dogs of all sizes and breeds! We have a small Jack Russell Mix named Gracie, a Maltese mix named Lux and four cats. I will come to your house and take care of your pet as many times a day as needed. Each visit consists of checking the water levels, feeding (at specified times), walks, snuggles and playtime! Each visit will be at least 30 minutes but will not be completed until your dog is happy! If you have cats, I will also scoop/change the litter and make sure they are well cared for and fed as well for no additional fee! I also offer pet transportation services and will take your dog to and from his/her grooming or vet appointments for $20 roundtrip! If your pet has an appointment during an already scheduled pet sitting reservation, the transportation will be included in the regular fee. I look forward to helping you! Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all my life. I have had and cared for dogs since I was a child. I currently have a 10 year old Jack Russell mix named Gracie and a 1 year old Maltese mix named Lux. I also regularly sit for my friends' dogs and love them as if they were my own. I know how to administer medications to dogs and will do whatever I can to make sure your pup is happy and comfortable during his stay at our home. Meet my pets I have a sweet dog named Gracie, a playful rescue named Lux and 4 friendly cats: Cleo, Cash, Scrappy and Frankie. Our cats are fine with dogs of all sizes. About my yard I have a large, fully fenced backyard that your dog will have full, unlimited access to. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medication and have done so to all of my pets and to friends' pets.

There are a few practical things I need to know about your dog: * Your dog's feeding and treating schedule and diet restrictions (please provide own food) * Is your dog on any medication * Is your dog possessive about food or treats * Are there any places on your dog's body that he does not like to be pet *Is your dog afraid of thunderstorms or loud noises (and how you usually calm him) * Are there any behavior issues/training issues you would like us to reinforce while you are away (examples are: no sitting on the couch, no sleeping on the bed, crate training)
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We live in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of sidewalks. I will walk your dog around the neighborhood. Your dog's sleeping arrangement My dog sleeps in our bed and when I sit for friends, their dogs also usually sleep in our bed. Basically, the dogs have the run of the house. However, we want your dog to be comfortable and also reinforce any behaviors you prefer. If your dog has a crate or a bed he/she prefers please bring it with you and we will ensure that your pup's routine isn't interrupted too much. Time I'll spend with your dog I work from home so I plan to spend all day with your pet giving him/her the time, attention and affection he/she would not get at a boarding facility.
