Licensed Vet Tech sitter

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am an experienced pet sitter and Licensed Veterinary Technician with a strong love of animals. I've always owned and taken care of both cats and dogs and working with them is what makes me truly happy! Please don't hesitate to contact me if I sound like a good fit for you and your pet family! I have been pet sitting for about 6 years now. The jobs started as just friends of the family but have now extended to include clients outside of that circle. I have cared for both cats & dogs and love both equally! I also have experience with basic care of birds, horses, goats, and donkeys, and I am completely open to caring for any animal as long as I'm provided with all the information I need. I am a proud military spouse and my schedule is very open. You can rest easy while you're away, knowing that your babies are in good hands. All past clients have found me completely trustworthy and have not been dissatisfied with my pet sitting services. Why I love dog sitting I was a known dog lover from the third grade on! That's when we rescued my very first childhood dog, Shaggy. She was the kindest, sweetest dog who I miss so much now! She helped me realize my passion for animals and just how much I enjoy being around them all the time. Since then, I've had three more dogs, each one of them dear to me. The pup closest to my heart is named Daisy and she can never be found far from me. I believe she might be my very best friend. I'm so thankful to have found her at the shelter!! I can't imagine my life without dogs in it. My experience administering medication Yes I am comfortable administering medication. As a licensed vet tech in two states I am required to administer medications on a regular basis and am very comfortable doing so.

Reviews

Jennifer was a PRO with Otto (Beagle), and Otto is a stubborn one. While I was away at class, Jennifer would watch over Otto for an entire semester, making sure he was fed/pottied, and played with him until he was pooped and needed a nap. Otto has a common breed issue that his eyes do no produce enough tears, so he has a lot of gunk build-up during the daytime. At the time, she was just beginning her studies to become a Vet-Tech, she provided some feedback as to what products or drops he could use to help decrease mucus build up. Jennifer is not only an animal lover, but she is so passionate about furry critters that she has made it her life's work. Jennifer is knowledgable, trustworthy, and dependable. I could not recommend her higher!

Information Jennifer J. would like to know about your pet

I don't have any particular breed preferences. While dog sitting though, I do like to know about the temperament of the dog. Such as, how will he act when I meet him? How will he react around other dogs on a walk or at the dog park? Anything that might be out of the ordinary is precious information for me! Quirky habits or facts are something that I also love to hear about from the owner. Each dog is so unique :)

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog How much time I spend with your pet is totally up to you! We can discuss how long you'd like me to stay and line up payment with that accordingly. I often find that I even end up staying longer than planned! Extra house-sitting services I am open to whatever chores you may need help with around the house. In the past I have even played the role of the maid by cleaning up the house once a week when I came to care for the puppy at an additional rate. Things like watering the plants and bringing in the mail would be a breeze.
