Pet care experience
When you go away for work or on vacation, you want to be sure your four-legged family members are given the best care. Forget sticking them in a cold kennel! I am available so you can rest easy knowing they are in the warmth of their own home. I am 36 years old and have lived with dogs my whole life... I wouldn't have it any other way! I know the importance of keeping dogs up with their normal schedules, so I try to stick with it as closely as possible. I have a full-time job, but I am able to let pups out on my lunch break and my hours are extremely flexible. I have been caring for animals since I was a teenager, giving me over 20 years of experience. I believe my rates reflect the quality of time, care, and attention your animals will receive. I have had experience with administering medication and caring for elderly dogs that require extra assistance with walking and using the bathroom. If you have an animal that requires special care, I will be happy to meet with you and be trained on how to administer that care. Whether it is playing a heated game of fetch or taking a relaxing afternoon walk, you can feel good about going on vacation knowing your four-legged family members can enjoy the activities they love. I also enjoy spending quality time with animals, giving them pets and cuddles, so they are able to feel safe and comfortable. Finally, I am not shy about giving meds to pets, and have experience with giving medicine to both cats and dogs.

I have a cat with Megaesophagus that requires complicated hour-long feedings. The purpose of this meeting was to go through the process and see if it was something she even wanted to tackle (she did as she likes learning new things and had already looked up information about the condition) Things did not go perfect because I was talking a lot explaining details, there were two people in the room switching out, and Murray is not very sociable to begin with. I believe it will go better if she is by herself. Because of her attitude, patience, and my unsociable cats didn't run and actually interacted with her immediately, I will trust her to do a feeding in the future (and that is not a decision I take lightly.)
We met with Jennifer in September to arrange meet and greet with her and my two dogs and my daughter’s dog that we were planning for Jennifer to care for and house sit during a family vacation. She updated us daily and administered medication and played with them and walked them. Peace of mind is everything to me with my babies and Jennifer deliverer just that. I will reach out to her anytime i need someone I trust. My home was clean and my babies obviously well cared for.

I do not currently offer a boarding option, but I will make sure your pets are kept as close to their routine as possible. Of course this includes cuddles and lots of pets! For clients that have animals used to going on a daily walk, I will include 1 20 minute walk per day. Additional 20 minute walks will require an additional $8/day. All things to do with care of the house are included with house sitting, including watering plants/gardens, collecting mail/packages, opening/closing curtains, and taking the garbage to the street. I only ask that clear instructions be given in regards to that care. I leave your house how you left it to me. I always make sure to clean up after myself and will vacuum/mop if needed, especially with those extra furry pups. I am happy to strip the bed and remake it if clean sheets are left out.

In my experience, the first house sitting period or drop-in visits are a bit of a learning curve. I learn about the pups personalities and preferences. Keep that in mind because I will most likely be asking plenty of questions. I also need to know their typical daily schedule, specifically feeding times, activity times, and if applicable, medication times. Finally, I would like to know as many commands and/or hand gestures that you use with your dog, especially if they are a puppy.
A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs on walks and exploring the neighborhoods. I also enjoy playing fetch and tug-o-war. Your pets will be kept to their routine as closely as I'm able to given my schedule.

Availability
I have a full-time job but that has never kept me from being able to care for your pets. I live in Cloverdale and I work in Pike Road, so it is best for me to stick with the clients that live in between those areas and close to the interstate. Additional charges may apply for clients living further away from the interstate and Cloverdale or Pike Road.
