Hello! My name is Jennifer and I would love to help you care for your pets. I have previous experience volunteering at a humane society and I have friends and family who have relied on me to care for their pets while they were away. I am a proud cat parent myself and also have experience caring for all types of dogs. I also taking horseback riding lessons once a week, so I'm not easily intimidated by large breeds (horses are basically just big dogs). I recently traveled for a week and experienced the anxiety that comes with leaving my cats at home, especially since one of them is particularly needy. I’d love to help relieve this anxiety for other pet parents while they are traveling or just gone for a day or two. I’m also up for walks in the evenings—whether your dog does 1 mile every walk or 3, I can always use the exercise and fresh air!

I also really value the Meet & Greet with the pet parents so I can meet the pet for the first time while they are feeling safe and comfortable and see what their day-to-day life is like.

I always ask if a dog has any fear or anxiety toward people or animals, and in what scenarios they experience that heightened emotion. I like to be overly-prepared when walking or pet sitting a new dog, so I will ask questions about how they usually spend their time snd what gives them comfort.
A typical day
I love to work with a dog to find the activity that is most stimulating for them, whether it’s walking around the neighborhood, going to a park, or playing fetch. Some dogs I watch are content to relax outside—I’m on board with whatever they’re feeling.

Availability
I have a full time job that requires me to be in the office 9-5ish M-Th so my availability is primarily evenings and weekends. Weekend trips are my specialty! For pups with a strong bladder (approximately 8 hours) I can normally make it home within that time frame during the week.
