Pet care experience

I LOVE dogs! I've grown up with dogs and I have years of experience caring for dogs owned by friends, family and people I've newly met. I've raised puppies, fostered, adopted and I been blessed to care for dogs well into their senior years. I'm constantly learning about ways to improve canine health and those efforts would benefit any dog that stays with us. Only Filtered water, even in the outside water bowl NO pesticides on our lawn or colored treated bark chips NO room air-fresheners Your dog will feel right at home and stress free. Stress free for you too - just pack food, treats, chews, harness and leash! I have everything else including a HUGE fenced backyard. Amenities include: 6' wood privacy fence Beds, bowls, toys, balls Med crate 36"L x 24"H XL crate 48"L x 32"H Sidewalk neighborhood for regular walks And most importantly I only accept dogs from ONE client at a time, and I book-up quickly because of that! ****NEW SINCE MARCH 2021**** Our veggie garden boxes and the chicken coop & run are separated by a 4' fence. Our hens are laying eggs on a regular basis. The first time new client dogs discover the hens walking about their chicken run, they are very curious and then they usually walk away since they are more than 10' away to get a closer look.

Jennifer is the best. Our Ozzie loves her and is always so excited to go spend time at her house. She takes the best care and I never have to worry because I know she is going to love my dog as if it were her own.

We have loved working with Jennifer and she brings such a sense of joy, professionalism and attention to detail to taking care of our dog. Jennifer is so conscientious and cares for our dog like she cares for her own. We could not be happier and are thankful that we have had an opportunity for our pup to spend time at Jennifer's house!

There are not enough words or space to say what a wonderful experience we had with Jennifer! Her care of Moxie exceeded my expectations and allowed us to have a great vacation because we knew that Moxie was having a great vacation at Camp Jennifer! We were thrilled to see photos and videos each day showing Moxie on walks, relaxing in the sun, chasing chipmunks and having fun and active days. We could not have been more pleased. We need to book another trip so we can book another stay for Moxie with Jennifer. Many thanks for a wonderfully positive experience!

Information Jennifer E. would like to know about your pet

Our girl Penny is approaching her senior years and just showing signs of slowing down. She likes a good walk and to play chase (well, she likes to be the chaser, but not the one being chased). She does like to work a team sport of "chase the chipmunk"! Penny is a little under 40lbs and finds it easier to make new doggie friends if they are closer to her size or smaller and to the submissive side. Calm, submissive and low-med prey drive are the perfect fit for staying at our home.

A typical day

A happy dog is a tired dog, right? Our backyard is a ball-dog fetcher's dream. There is a wide open space perfect for throwing a chuck-it ball, frisbee or tennis balls. Once they've had enough, there are plenty of shady spots to lie down and catch their breath. Indoor rainy day or evening playtime can be as simple as tug-o-war, hide and seek, enrichment games or learning a new skill. I find regular walks to be important for a dog's wellbeing. It's really not about the miles walked, but I find that the time spent outside of the backyard is good for their brain and is very bonding. I take walks through the Indian Hills and Hampton Woods neighborhoods. It's mostly shaded and no car ride needed, leash up the pups and off we go. A little mention about my preference in leash equipment, I use the Easy Walk harness for my dog and a 6' leather leash. My previous experience with a strong puller was resolved with patience and training using the Easy Walk harness. I also have experience with the Gentle Leader. No chokers or pincher collars please.
