Pet care experience
NOTICE 2019: Hiatus from Rover for a while -no longer available during 'work hours'. Happy to connect with previous clients/animals in case I'm around! I enjoy making dogs work during play time. Tired, happy and hydrated is what I like to see. I live with a young Shiloh/German Shepherd mix, 4 cats, and my roommate's Chihuahua/Terrier mix. I have a nice grassy area in the backyard, some decent shade during the day and a fully-enclosed, secure fenced yard. I've got three crates -SM, L, & XL. I love all animals -cats, rabbits, reptiles, etc. and would be happy to help with them too. I'm flexible but like to travel, so there will be gaps of time where I'm frolicking about the world. But there would always be advance notice of any deviance from a regular schedule.

I cannot sing Jen's praises enough. We have a very shy, scared, and easily threatened pup and Jen was so incredibly patient with him. In 4 days she figured him out completely and gained his trust. Her communication was excellent and we were able to rest easy knowing that our dog was in excellent hands.
Jennifer came several times a day to take out my very senior dogs while I was out of town. She put medicine in one dogs eye and carried the blind dog out into the yard. Very nice lady and reliable. Thanks!
Oreo loves to go on walks with Jen. Jen is very patient and knowledgable about dogs so I know that Oreo is in good hands when he is with her!

Any special temperament or care needs -habits during walking like 'pulling, darting, or reacting to other animals' is always helpful. It's also super useful to have crystal-clear home entry/exit instructions.
A typical day
We'd go on walks around your neighborhood. If the preference is for the dog to come to mine, there are a few parks within reasonable walking and driving distance -most play would be in the yard though. I'm fine with dogs in my car - can even do crate transportation for large dogs. Lots of fetch, rubs, command practice (because why not explore that?), and whatever gets them tired.
