Pet care experience
Peace of mind is what we all want, right? Your pet is a part of your family, and you need confidence that they will be as comfortable as possible while you’re away from them. Your furbaby will be cared for just as you would care for them. I’ll also be mindful of the rules of your house and neighborhood—even water your plants and check your mail (if needed). Is your dog super active? Great! As a runner, I can keep up with your dog. As someone with experience with senior dogs, I’m sensitive to the limitations of some pets, too. To help with your busy schedule, I can pick up and drop off for $15 more if you're within 5 miles of downtown Lexington. In the years I’ve been petsitting and housesitting in the Columbia and Lexington areas, I’ve also been known to care for hamsters, fish, birds, rats, lizards and snakes. I draw the line at spiders. Nope. I look forward to bringing peace of mind for everyone involved! 😁🐾
Reviews
Zeus and I appreciate Jennifer! She’s great at providing peace of mind and updating with pics every time she sees Zeus!
Thanks to Jennifer for another great week walking Zeus! My dog looks forward to seeing Jennifer every day she comes to walk him, and always looks so happy in the photo updates she sends!
Jennifer has been wonderful so far with my baby! She’s consistent with the timing and length of her walks and always is sure to provide a detailed update to reassure me that my baby is happy and taken care of! Would 100% use again the future and would recommend to anyone!
So kind and professional! Jennifer goes out of her way to make your sweet pet happy and loved!

My backyard is completely fenced in, wildly overgrown, and backs up to wetlands with many types of critters which provides lots of smells and interesting places for dogs to explore.
Information Jennifer C. would like to know about your pet
For dogs: I am partial to herding and working breeds, and high-energy breeds, although almost any breed, especially mixed breeds, are great. From past experiences, I do steer away from chows, akitas and any dog (regardless of breed) that has been known to display strong aggression to strangers. Do you give treats? If yes, how many and what kind? Do they walk/run well on a leash? How old are they? Are they up to date on all required shots — DAPP/DHPP, rabies, bordetella, canine flu? Does she/he have any health issues or physical limitations? How many times a day do they need activity? What kind of activity(-ies) are they used to? Where is their favorite place to be scratched? For cats: Are they strictly indoor, or do they sometimes go outside with supervision? Are they up-to-date on all shots — feline leukemia, DPP, bordetella? Do they like to play, or do they simply like to look out the window from their favorite perch? Do they have a favorite toy(s)? Do they use a litter box?
A typical day
If your dog comes to my house, I live in a walk-friendly neighborhood with sidewalks throughout. I am a runner, so if you have a high-energy fur baby, and they do well on a leash, I can make sure they get the activity they need. If they love to run after balls and toys, I have a great fenced-in backyard for that. My teenager is also a big help and loves animals, too, so we work well together.

Working for myself at home allows me to be flexible. Getting to take breaks with animals is the best way to take a break...don't you agree?
