Pet care experience
Little dogs, big dogs, happy cats, cranky cats, pets with meds, young ones and old - I've loved and cared for them for many years. I will board your pet family in my home or care for your pet family in yours. I accept only one client at a time unless it's for drop-in visits. My fenced in yard allows for relaxed play time, however your dog will always be supervised outside. I have attended basic dog training classes and am happy to work with your dog using the commands you have established. Caring for your pets in their own environment allows them the comfort of familiar surroundings while you are away. No matter the location, I give them plenty of attention and make sure that they are walked and fed according to your wishes.

We were very happy with our little beagle’s stay with Jennifer. Jennifer is very friendly, caring, and professional. We really appreciated the cute photos and the frequent updates on how Tucker was doing. Her home is cozy and welcoming and she has a fenced in yard accessible from her back door. She also took Tucker for some walks which I’m sure he loved. We found her rates to be very reasonable and have already booked a 2nd stay. Thank you Jennifer for taking such good care of our Tucker!
Jen was very responsible. Our cats and our home was in excellent shape when we returned home. We would highly recommend her.
Jennifer is amazing! You will feel she loves your dog as much as you do. She sent pictures and updates about our dog's stay with her and I could tell he loved her. Lots of play time and walks were had, he was exhausted the next day after retrieving him. She is popular for a reason!

I have a fenced in yard, however, in addition to the fence, I use a very long training lead as an extra precaution when I'm in the yard with a dog. The long lead allows dogs to run and fetch, but gives me extra assurance for dogs who are escape artists or like to chase wild life. The back door of my apartment opens to an enclosed porch. I use an additional gate at my front door so I can guarantee a pet will not run out when I need to open the door.

I use a gentle and confident tone and treats to help them focus their attention away from troublesome stimuili.
A typical day
I love playing with dogs and cats, that's part of why this is my ideal job. Whether it's throwing a ball, playing catch, or a challenging game of "find it" with a dog, or dangling a feather for a cat to capture, it's just fun to see them engaged and happily playing. There's a wooded area with walking trails across the street from me, as well as a quiet road alongside a lake where dogs can check out all the latest neighborhood smells. I love going for walks in my neighborhood and having a companion is the only way to go!

Availability
My days are structured around Rover jobs and family. I help with chores around the yard and in our two family home. My Rover guests are my companions and when possible become part of our family life. Some dogs need quiet and are happier with me as their only companion. My in-law apartment allows them a safe, quiet space. Others thrive on visiting next door, hanging out in the yard with everybody and getting lots of pets and attention from my family members. I tailor my activities to my guests' personalities. Regardless of the activity, my guests are always under my care.
