Hi there, my name is Jen! I am a professional, part time veterinary assistant and a full time pet lover with tons of experience and a passion for helping and caring for animals. I have 8 years of experience as a member for one of Somerset county's 4H dog clubs as well as a further 9 years of being a leader/trainer for the same club. I have also worked for St. Hubert's Animal Welfare center and Madison Animal Hospital as an animal care attendant/small and exotic animal specialist and veterinary assistant for the last 5 years. On top of that, I am a volunteer trainer with My Dog's Got Class day training school in Bridgewater and a volunteer foster mom for cats from the Mt. Pleasant, Somerset County, and CAPIC animal shelters. If you're looking for an outgoing, compassionate, reliable, and experienced caretaker, I'm your go-to gal!

Jennifer has been the best sitter we have ever had. Always plays with my dog on every visit and sends pictures.
We booked Jennifer after our interview and her meeting our dogs. Our two dogs suffer from anxiety and separation anxiety. Jennifer was supposed to arrive at our house at 1:00 PM, but did not arrive until after 3:00pm . She told us that she stopped in earlier that day, but it was not recorded on our Ring camera. At our interview, Jennifer told us she would be around most of the 4 days she was house sitting. On the first day she was with our dogs for a few hours, but in the early evening and did not arrive home until after 11:00PM She did not answer our text/phone calls and we were very upset. We were in Fla. visiting our son, and we were very worried about our 2 dogs. We finally saw her arrive at 11:15 PM through our Ring security device. She texted us after arriving home and said she had to go home and feed and take care of her own dogs. This happened Friday night and the lack of communication was appalling. As dog parents of 2 senior dogs, we take good care of our dogs. Rover service is for dogs to be well taken care of while their owners are out of town. Our dogs were left alone a lot and the sitter did not communicate with us well. I've only given 5 stars in the past to our dog sitters; I would have given 0 stars if I could. It will take a long time for us to be able to leave our babies with a Rover sitter again.
Jennifer is great ! She made all my kitties feel loved and cared for! She's definitely intuitive about cats and provide best drop in visits♥️

Before sitting or walking your dog, I would like to know: - Age - Gender - Primary breed/mix of breeds - Size/weight (estimates are fine) - Any allergies - medical conditions - medications I'll be responsible for giving while caring for your pets - Behavior issues (guarding toys, food, etc.) - Energy level - Any toys, treats, places they like to walk - Things you would like me to work with them on (potty training, basic obedience, etc.) - Anything else you feel I need to know about before working with them Any or all of the information provided will help me create a more pawsitive experience for both you and your dog!
A typical day
I am willing to walk your dog around your neighborhood, a nearby park, or anywhere you think they would like to visit. I can also play fetch in a fenced in backyard, provide cuddle time for the less active dog, offer enrichment activities to tire out both their mind and body, and even work on some basic obedience with them. Potty breaks, feeding, and exercise are done on you and your dog's schedule!

My work schedules are pretty flexible. I do my best to schedule all other things around what each pet's normal daily schedule is and try to stick to that schedule as much as possible.
