Pet care experience
I am a stay-at-home mom of two kids, ages 7 & 9. I am originally from Massachusetts and have lived in Hendersonville for 9 years and love it here! I love to be outside, hiking and kayaking. I am not a certified trainer, but I am very interested in training and I'd be happy to practice or teach basic behaviors. I’ve taken several training classes with my current and past Australian shepherds, including agility training. I am happy to help with grooming including brushing, bathing and nail trimming. I am flexible and happy to accommodate most special needs or requests!!

Jennifer has been great with my more than picky and borderline difficult pup Yama. She has been reliable and punctual and even reminds me to schedule our weekly walks so she and Yama can get comfortable together. Thanks so much for being so good with Yama and being willing to work with us!
Jennifer was a wonderful pet sitter!! Our dog and two cats were well cared for while we were away. The photos and details of her visits were always on time too! Great experience all around!!
Jenny is wonderful! This is our first time using Rover for Ruby & Remi as we’ve been a bit hesitant. Jenny helped rid all of those hesitations and did a great job taking care of our babies!!
I can tell by the pictures Gambit was happy. Who can ask for more? Jennifer asked great questions, was patient, and pleasant in the meet and greet. She even did a trade with Gambit on her own. It was obvious by reflex, which made me confident all would be well if it were in her power.

As for safety at your home, I will always keep your dog on a leash or in a fenced in area. I always feed dogs separately and I won’t be bringing my children with me generally, but if I ever needed to I would check with you first. I also won’t bring my own dog along on our walks.

Before sitting a dog I like to know if they are possessive or protective over food, people, toys etc. I like to know if there are any particular routines that will make your dog feel more comfortable. I also like to know about any allergies or special diets. For walking, it is helpful to know how your dog does on a leash and if there are any stimuli that excite your dog (squirrels, other dogs, bikes, etc) - this is no problem, I just like to be prepared for this. I also like to know if you have any recommended walking routes.
A typical day
I love exploring new neighborhoods on walks, playing fetch or just snuggling. I’ll provide plenty of exercise and attention when I visit your fur babies!

Availability
As a stay at home mom I have a flexible schedule and love visiting doggy friends and taking them for walks. I am available during school hours (8-2:30 on weekdays) for walks in our area (off of 64 between Laurel Park and Horseshoe). I love to get outside and exercise and I have all the right gear for inclement weather, so rain and snow are never a problem! I may be petite, but I have no problem managing large or unruly dogs! We love visiting kitties too.
