Pet care experience
I have more than 10 years of experience with petcare - I even spent 2010 to 2012 running my own pet training and boarding facility, and have been a consultant for a service dog training organization since shortly after! I have 3 dogs of my own, as well as many pets of other species (sometimes it feels like we run a zoo out of our home!). My husband and I work with several rescues throughout the year. I'm experienced, professional and flexible. Pets love me, and their people tend to as well. I have experience pet sitting everything from hamsters to horses, so I can take care of your non-canine pets as well. Exotics are a personal favorite of mine, and my focus at home alongside dogs! I, too, am an overly attached pet-parent, so I am happy to provide those comforting extra updates to ease worried minds. When I ran my own facility, I even gave each dog their own "blog" page for owners to keep up with their pets on every day, and I'm happy to provide that level of care now too. Jen was wonderful to work with, she fixed my service dog in training right up. We decided to do a 3 week board and train with her for more intensive training to finish off his public access training and get him more consistent in some of his tasks. When he came back, we realized we got a lot more training than we paid for. His manners improved, he was alot more confident in public, he was just a lot more solid. We're getting a puppy in the next year and we're looking forward to getting it well started in her puppy bootcamp program.

I follow strict safety protocols. If needed, I can crate your dog, use double leashes etc. Whatever is necessary for your pet to have the safest environment

I have no breed preferences - I love them all. Predominately, personality type and any special needs are important for me to know, so I know what that animal needs. If a dog needs walks, an honest overview of their leash manners - Im happy to walk a dog who needs work in that area, I just make sure I dont take on too many challenging clients in the same day so as to provide the best service to all my clients. A list of obedience commands they know is also helpful.
A typical day
We have several parks we go to as well as the river, lake, and nature reserves. With my dog we also go on short hikes, and can bring dogs we're boarding as long as it fits their needs. We also have a nice, fenced quarter acre.

My routine is pet care centric, whether I'm pet sitting or not. I'm almost always doing something with my many pets, particularly the three dogs.
