Fun & attentive hosts in Annapolis
Pet care experience
I'm a longtime dog owner, and my husband Thom and I have a lot of fun playing with Flyer, our (neutered) 13-year-old Jack Russell, who would be a very happy companion for your visiting pup. (He'll probably want to play a little bit with your pup's toys, but also will share his.) In terms of experience, in addition to hosting and caring for dogs through Rover, we've also frequently helped out in past years friends and neighbors with care of their pets while they travel. We're conveniently located in historic Annapolis near several parks and a dog run for "social time," and are experienced with caring for dogs of different sizes, ages and personalities. We both love dogs, and think they light up every room (or sidewalk!). I hope we get a chance to meet your terrific canine family member.

Jen was fabulous (as she was the last time with Oli)! I really appreciated her responsiveness to my requests, her flexibility in scheduling drop off, and understanding with our late night pick up. Jen, Thom, and their dog Flyer have done a terrific job of taking care of Oli in our absence. They are wonderful hosts and we feel completely at ease leaving Oli in Jen's care. We are so happy to have found Jen on Rover! 100 stars!!!
Jennifer was amazing. She really helped me out and when I met her, I was overwhelmed by how kind she and her husband are. They seemed to be extremely wonderful people. They treated my doghter Lucy as if she was their own. Jennifer kept me updated every day and sent me pictures. I felt bad leaving her at first but it made all the difference knowing she was in great hands. Thank you so very much Jennifer for caring so much for Lucy. Best, Alyssa
Jennifer and Thom took excellent care of Maddy. Almost 1 day later and she is still exhausted from having so much fun. Jennifer was nice enough to share pictures throughout the weekend of the dogs playing together which is always nice when you are away.
I’m never sure who is happier—Jennifer or the dog she’s with. I can’t think of a better person to take care of your canine pal!

My husband and I have a secure fenced patio and live in a very pet-friendly neighborhood. If you prefer that your dog or puppy be crated at certain times of the day or night, we can easily accommodate that.

Information Jennifer B. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know your dog's size, age, and gender; any special dietary requirements; typical walking schedule; and, if a rescue dog, whether she or he has had any struggles adjusting that we should know about. I'd need to know whether your dog was a Pit Bull or a Pit Bull mix, in which case I wouldn't be the right choice because they've been pretty aggressive with our pup in the past. I'd also like to know if this is the first time he or she has been away from home, and any special related considerations you'd think I should know about. What games does he or she like to play? What sort of set-up or "surroundings" does she or he like to have at bedtime (a blanket, a crate to snooze in, etc.)?
A typical day
If we're in an enclosed and safe space we love to play fetch and throw frisbees. If treats are allowed, we also use fun "brain game" toys with hidden treats so everybody's always got an "activity." On weekends, we also sometimes walk or hike with canine companion(s) on nearby park trails but always check with owners on their preferences first.

Availability
I either work from home or in my office a 5-minute drive from home, so am home during each day to feed and walk my own dog as well as any special "guests."
