Pet care experience
I have been dog sitting for many years. (On and off with Rover since it was not an option while we lived overseas as a military family). I have experience with many different breeds, special dietary restrictions, medications aa well as older dogs that need a little extra patience. One of my dogs recently passed from cancer. He had severe separation anxiety so I have experience with that as well. Growing up, my mom had tons of animals- dogs, cats, a bunny and an iguana- I wouldn't know what to do without pets around! As a teenager, I worked in a pet boarding facility but found pets were nervous and cages were not good for their physical and mental health. That job made me want to provide a better experience for pets that need somewhere to stay, and I’ve been doing it ever since.

I used Jenna for doggy-day care for almost 2 weeks and it was a great experience. She made my dog feel comfortable and sent pictures throughout the stay each day. I would recommend and use her services again when/if I return to the area. Very flexible and kind.

I work weekdays but come home on my lunch real for walks. So if your baby is ok with being home alone for a few hours at a time, I’d love to watch your pup during the week as well! My dog tends to hangout and lounge on the couch while we are away. Your pup will be free to do the same. I will give your pet all the love and attention they can handle from someone that isn't mom or dad.

A typical day
First thing in the morning we will go for a walk in my dog friendly complex so they can run around, play and do their business. When we come back, I’ll feed them their breakfast/morning medication. They can lounge around and sleep on the couch while I'm away at work. I take them for a midday walk around the complex when I come home for lunch. They get walked once we get home from work around 5:30pm, followed by dinner. They do a final long walk before we all go to bed for the night. If it’s a long stay- I also like finding dog friendly places and taking them along to socialize if you’re comfortable with that!

Availability
We live in a townhome (for repeat visitors: We recently moved to a better complex) and we both are off work on weekends so there will always be someone around with your dog in the evening and weekends. Chris works from home every other Friday so there’s an extra day for someone to be around to hang out with your dog! My work schedule is 8:30-5:30 Monday through Friday and I work close enough that I come home for my lunch to do dog walks from 12-1pm.
