Pet care experience
Hi there, my name is Jenna. I am a zookeeper with years of experience in animal care and behavior. I have been fortunate to be able to work with canine species including Dingo and African painted dogs, by providing them with the best care possible. I provide the same level of care to their not so wild counterparts as well as many other animals. I enjoy enriching my clients' animals with play, walks, interaction, and spending time with them. I love thinking outside the box to provide your animal with whatever they need to make them happy and content. If your pet has medical needs, I have experience with managing and administering medications to a variety of animals. I am passionate about making pet care a positive and enjoyable experience for you and your dog, cat, bird etc. Thanks for taking the time to check me out, I guarantee your dogs day will never be ruff when I’m around. Very excited to meet you and your kiddos! As a zookeeper, I have an unconventional schedule so I understand needing someone to care for your animals over the weekend or holidays. I am flexible to provide your animals with the care, walks, attention and enrichment they deserve. Whether it is housesitting or drop in visits, it is important for me to learn your animals’ routines for their comfort and yours. My goal at every visit is to provide your animal with whatever they need to make them happy and content.

Jenna does it all! From drop-ins to overnight stays, we trust our pets are in great hands. Thank you so much, Jenna!
Jenna is my first choice to stay with my dogs if she’s available I feel very comfortable with her abilities to care for my dogs which are both diabetic and blind!
Jenna is AMAZING!!!! She house sat & watched our dog while we were out of town for a week. From our initial meeting, she asked the right questions and was very respectful and friendly. She’s an excellent communicator & kept in contact, sent photos (per request), and even took care of preparing our house for a cold snap that happened while we were out! Knowing she was there provided an immense sense of security and relief and our dog LOVED her!! We highly recommended her and will definitely hire her again.
If I could leave her a larger tip I would. Jenna is absolutely amazing! Our Aussie has seizures and finding someone comfortable enough to watch her is hard. Jenna handled it like a pro and kept me updated the whole time we were away. I can’t thank you her enough!!!

It's important for me to make pet sitting as stress free as possible for your animals and one of the best ways for me to do that is to learn their routine Does your dog have separation anxiety? If you have multiple animals are they food aggressive? Food allergies? Dog aggressive? If your animal has any health issues and/or requires medications, let me know what signs/symptoms to look for and their medication info (dose, how it's administered, etc.) Veterinary info just in case and how your animal is at the vet How is your dog with walks? What type of leash/harness do you use? If they love walks but can be difficult, it would be great to be able to go on a couple walks with you guys to learn what methods work best for them Any training? Consistency is very important, show me how you prefer to train your animal : ) Is your animal house trained?
A typical day
When I first get to know a dog, I take it slow and go at their pace. I start by seeing how comfortable they are with me in their familiar stomping grounds, like their backyard or their normal walking routine. Once I notice the dog is relaxed and comfortable walking with me, we'll start going on some adventures. When we're not walking I love to make up fun scavenger hunts for your dog! Foraging for food is a natural behavior in a lot of animals and hiding some treats is a great way to get your pet active and motivated for goodies. I'll also hide food items in things like toilet paper rolls and boxes so they problem solve to get to the treats. Reading is one of my favorite past times and I love reading aloud to animals. If your dog is a fan of Harry Potter, I've got all the Harry Potter audiobooks! When it's warm out, I have a yummy dog-friendly ice cream recipe we can try. I enjoy my time with every animal I care for
