Hello! I’m Jenna (she/her) and I’ve been providing services on rover for about 4 years. I grew up around animals big and small (my folks have a farm) and am comfortable with a wide range of temperaments and needs. I’m a current social work graduate student in addition to being a Rover sitter. I’m generally easy going and I value open dialogue, clear communication and flexibility. I am also experienced with medication administration other health needs, and can I can keep up with many different activity levels!

Jenna is the BEST! I’m usually pretty anxious about leaving are two dogs but from the moment we met Jenna she made us feel so comfortable. She was so sweet with the dogs and intentional about helping our more anxious dog feel safe. Our heater also broke the morning we we’re supposed to leave and she was so understanding and helpful with the situation. So good to have a someone we trust so much to take care of them in the future! xx
Jenna is literally amazing. During her almost two week house and dog sitting, she had to deal with broken doors, a flooded basement, coordinated with roto rooter AND family members of mine to help with said basement, and also took such amazing care of Buffy and was incredibly communicative, kind, and understanding. Seriously, book her.
Getting back to visiting family after the pandemic was a bit daunting for us, especially since our two dogs have such a regular routine, and we have been home so much during the pandemic. Jenna did such an incredible job of following our routines! Our dogs were excited to see us, but not a bit stressed. And after a long day of driving to get home, it was great to get an enthusiastic greeting and then settle in for the evening. We definitely hope to book Jenna again this summer, and in the fall if she's available.

I see my job as easing your anxiety about being away from your pet and home as much as possible. I will take care to follow the set routines, schedules, and activity needs of your pets, as well as take good care of your home while you are away. Additionally, I am an open communicator and if there is anything you need or would like me to do differently in caring for your home and pets, I welcome that feedback! While your away, I’m happy to wash sheets and towels that I use and put fresh linens on the bed before your return. I can also do dishes and other light cleaning so that you can come home to a clean house and happy pup!

I love all breeds and temperaments, especially big dogs! Please let me know beforehand if I should do anything to make your dog(s) more comfortable with me. It would also be helpful to know if they have any "bad habits" at home, in order to keep them safe and avoid any accidents.
A typical day
I will take your dog(s) on long or short walks and I have a car that is able to transport dogs of any size to a dog park for more vigorous exercise and play. In the summertime I love to go to to dog friendly beaches or an outdoor nature preserves in and outside of the city for extended outings, too! I’ll always check in before bringing your dogs to new places :)

Availability
I keep my calendar updated with my availability and my weekly routine with school is pretty steady. My busiest days keep me away from the house for about 7-8 hours at a maximum. I can have some flexibility with midday check ins during these busy days depending where you live. However, I always make time for walks and playtime :).
