When I was 8 years old, my birthday party was at our county animal shelter. Instead of gifts, I asked my friends to bring donations for the dogs. Now, as a grown-up human, that dog-loving spirit has not faded- but because I care for my four-legged nieces and nephews regularly, I'd rather take in other critters for short periods than get my own permanent pup at this time. In my immediate family, there are 14 dogs- ranging from an 8 pound Pomeranian to a 100+ pound German Shepherd! I've never met a dog I don't like, and I'd like to think dogs like me too. I am a social worker with a huge heart for all creatures! I work from home 3-4 days a week with a highly flexible schedule. I am active and live less than a block from Wasson Way, a beautiful urban bike and walking trail. I look forward to long daytime walks, backyard ball fetching, and late night snuggles with your furry friend!
