I'll Run with Your Dog!

Pet care experience

There’s just nothing like the happiness that our furry friends bring us! They’re always so giving and happy to see us, and their selfless spirit is exactly what inspired me to become a pet sitter in the first place. Taking care of animals is a passion of mine, and I firmly believe that they deserve the same amount of love and attention that we need! That’s where I come in: to make puppy dreams come true and provide them with a caring environment so that they can thrive in the world. In addition to being a lifelong dog lover, I’ve also had a long history of taking care of happy pups! My family has had two dogs when I was growing up (one Lhasa Apso and one Pomeranian), and they were my best friends through and through . When I was in college more than 4 years ago, I joined the Care dot com team to provide sitting and boarding and walking services for people with dogs. It was such an amazing experience and I learned a ton about providing professional-quality care for animals and owners of all stripes. All my life I have volunteered at nearby shelters to help walk their dogs and visit them, so working with dogs in need is a huge part of what I do. Currently, I care for an elderly Pit Bull who might be one of the friendliest dogs I’ve ever met! Getting to work with so many dogs has cued me into know that every pup is unique. No single approach works for any two dogs, so I am always very flexible when taking on new pups. I do like to schedule meet-and-greets so that we can start becoming fast friends! On the greet, I follow dogs' cues to see if they are feeling comfortable or still getting to know me. I let them smell me and get all familiarized with me then I will start doing what they enjoy (games, walks, pet-based on their owner's suggestion) to connect with them and form a bond with them. Following their pace, we will continue forming a relationship. I believe that knowledge is power! Getting as much information as possible is the key to a great stay and excellent service. To provide excellent customer service for our little furry friends, I make sure I pay extra special attention to them and get to know them, so I can immediately notice when something is out of ordinary. I also attempt to collect as much information as possible to make sure I keep them comfortable and content. That means getting any and all information related to their likes and dislikes and—especially—their schedules and regimens. To provide excellent customer service for human/their owners, I make sure I maintain open communication with them by sending pictures as much as possible, so they can see just how much fun we’re having together! I also make sure I contact them ASAP whenever I have a concern or question, and of course that avenue is a two-way street!

Jenna is absolutely wonderful!!! We are so lucky to have found her- and her sweet pup Minnie! :) She is truly one of the most patient, lovely and kind sitters (and people!) we’ve met. She’s got a huge heart and she’s so wonderful with dogs. She’s responsible, has excellent communication and follow-up and sends tons of fun photos. We trust her fully and have complete peace of mind when we’re away that everyone is safe and happy. We are Rover sitters ourselves and know that you really can’t ask for more than that! :) We will absolutely turn to Jenna for future services and highly recommend her!!

Jenna is a fantastic pet sitter! She watched our dogs in our home over a long weekend and took the best care of them. She was communicative, responsible, and kind. Also, our house sustained a little water damage while she was here, but she helped ease our fears and took the necessary measures to start cleaning up the water. I can't say enough good things about her!

Jenna is an experienced dog walker and sitter. She has done such work for years. Dogs love her immediately when they meet her. I have seen her at work. She’s a dog magnet. She is trustworthy and genuinely cares for canine breed. I give her 5 stars (5 stars- highest rating). - Mary Ann Richmond

Jenna was a very responsible and caring dog sitter. I know that Yofi received lots of love and attention while she was with her and I would be happy to use Jenna again in the future.

Information Jenna C. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

Getting to explore is one of my favorite things to do, hands down. I just moved here from Boston, so finding out what is fun to do around town is a special opportunity—and there’s no better way to do that than with a canine co-pilot alongside! I currently live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood, where there are tons of people walking their pups all day. I’m sure we’ll make new friends wherever they go. When we get out and about, we’ll go explore all the dog-friendly places, parks, and stores or restaurants nearby. I love having a pup near me at all times, so Velcro dogs are definitely welcome! I also make a killer homemade doggy ice cream, too!
