I see dogs as part of the family, and they need to be treated as such! We currently have a rescue dog, who loves anything furry, but is a little afraid of us two legged kind. We also have a little chihuahua, she became the final piece to our family after she was neglected at 4 weeks old. Since then, she is a little social butterfly, and completely loves the two legged creatures! I frequently take them out to play, go for runs at night, and provide love and care for them. Along with playing in our large fenced in yard, we also have plenty of fun toys and activities for them to play inside as well. I make sure there is a balance of play, and rest too!
