I love your pets like you do!

Pet care experience

I've had dogs since I was a child. I've had experience with high energy breeds, dogs who require medication, elderly and injured dogs. I love to get to know new dogs and can't wait to meet yours. Dogs are amazing and having a well exercised dog makes them more so. I would love to help you burn off the extra energy that can make having a dog stressful. I have base access and am retired military. I understand how being in the service can cause disruption to your pet's routine and can help you care for them. With winter upon us, here are a few important aspects of dog walking in cold weather: 1. Assessing the Cold: Every dog is different, and their tolerance for cold weather varies. Please let me know how cold is too cold for your dog and I'll make sure to plan our walks accordingly. I am happy to do a shorter walk during times of cold weather and do indoor play if you would like during certain temperature ranges. 2. Protective Gear: In extreme cold conditions, dog booties or paw balm can be helpful in protecting your dog's paws from exposure and potential ice melt chemicals on the ground. If you haven't already, please let me know if you would like me to use dog booties or apply paw balm to your dog's paws during walks. I am happy to provide Mushers Wax balm for our walks. 3. School Cancellations Policy: In the event of school cancellations due to winter weather, our dog walks will also be canceled for the day for safety reasons. I will send out cancelation notifications as soon as possible on those days. I understand that every dog is unique, and I genuinely appreciate your cooperation in ensuring their comfort and safety during walks this winter. If you have any concerns, special requests, or need further information on protective gear options, please let me know. 😊

Jenna took great care of my dog over the weekend, including managing his meds and special dietary requirements. She’s very reliable!!

Jenna was great! So nice having the peace of mind our cat was looked in on while we were out. She went above and beyond!

Jenna is a treasured partner in the work of teaching my younger dog some manners. She teaches while she walks such that my dogs are not only getting exercise but also good practice at being their best. I am so thankful for Jenna’s help and support.

Let me know of your dog has any behaviors that need to be worked on (such as pulling on lead, dog reactive, separation anxiety) or safety concerns (e.g. dog aggressive or high prey drive).

A typical day

I love playing with and spending time with dogs. Walking neighborhood trails, dog parks and finding spots to keep things new and fun. I follow your dog's lead when it comes to the walk that day. Some days, we'll walk as far and fast as we can, other days will be more casual. I do try to use the commands and style of walking you've developed with your dog to maintain consistency.

I have a flexible schedule and work from home. I will try to accommodate your needs as much as I can. I love to get out and meet new dogs and explore new places. Midday walks and drop ins will be begun between 11a and 1p to allow for drive time and other client visits. I do try to get to as close to your requested time as possible. I am not accepting reoccurring bookings (bookings with no end date) at this time. During the winter, I follow the school district for closures - if ASD has canceled school or goes to remote learning, I will be contacting clients to cancel/reschedule walks or drop ins
