Pet care experience
I have had animals my whole life, from cats and dogs to fish and turtles. I've dabbled in my fair share of pets since childhood. We've never been without a Jack Russell in my family and now we've even gotten a couple of Rat Terriers. This should tell you I am no stranger to high energy! I am also a plant lover and currently have more house plants than I have room for, so I can water and repot for you. I am currently getting into/a beginner in the planted aquarium hobby. I can top off tanks, change filters, and do basic tank maintenance. Right now my family has three dogs and a cat that I visit and care for all the time, but since I don't live with them anymore I have more time to branch out and care for your critters too! My favorite dogs are elderly dogs. Our family dog Max is 16 and has more needs now like needing to be carried up and down the stairs and having to go out more frequently. I have experience feeding raw as well as dosing supplements. I do not have much medical/injection experience, like giving insulin, but am willing to learn! I am also the oldest out of four, so I have done my fair share of babysitting. I have watched my siblings as well as done babysitting gigs for neighbors and friends my whole life. I can assure you I'll keep the ship afloat while you're gone!

So whatever instructions and routine specifications you leave I will do my best to follow them to a T.

Meet and greets are free of charge and are required before I fully accept any overnight stays. I would like to come meet you and your pets before you head out. This way you can explain all their quirks to me! We can both make sure we're comfortable with me being in your home, and can make sure everyone is on the same page in terms of expectations. I reserve the right to decline any reservation if I am uncomfortable or feel threatened.
A typical day
I would love to take your dog to Falls Park if you book a longer walk or overnight stay. I like walking the trails and letting the dogs get to explore and be out in nature. This may involve water and mud so I will ask you what you allow beforehand. I won't let them get messy beyond paws or what I can wipe off. I'm always down to play fetch in the yard or tug of war. It's truly different for each dog in terms of what they like best.

Availability
Currently I am going back to school online and am only working a couple side gigs, so generally my schedule is open unless I'm traveling. I offer walks, potty breaks, check ins, and housesitting. For housesitting, overall I prefer to go home and sleep in my own bed(as I'm sure everyone does😄), so I also offer a form of hybrid housesitting where I can come over in the AM and leave in the PM depending on distance. This can be like a long daily check in for a few hours or all day depending on your needs. This is great for people who have low maintenance pets like fish, reptiles, birds, low-maintenance cats, plants, ect. Of course, we would work out a lesser rate for that! I completely understand though if your pet requires 24/7 company and you would prefer I stay overnight. I am an anxious pet parent as well! I leave multiple pages of instructions for my elderly dog, and would never want him to spend the night alone. Which is why I am happy to offer overnight/standard housesitting at the advertised rate shown as long as everyone is comfortable with that option after the meet and greet. If I'm staying in your home I will make sure your house is tidy and as you left it for your return, pickup groceries for you, run errands, anything miscellaneous you may have, and of course look after all your living things. We can work out what method is best for you based on your situation. Rates and prices can vary based on what you need from me and your method of payment.
