Pet care experience
I began working with animals when I was in middle school by volunteering to walk the shelter dogs at Alsip Home and Nursery. Since then, I was employed at a dog kennel for 2 years, where I learned how to handle, feed, and provide overall care for dogs in a professional setting. I also dog-sit for family and friends in their homes.
Reviews
I worked with Jenna at a dog boarding facility for about 2 years, and I can confidently say she is the person I would trust the most with my fur babies. She cares about each and every animal she meets and goes above and beyond to make sure they are cared for in the best way possible. She is very passionate about animals and such a hard worker. All of these traits make her the best person to care for your pet(s) while you’re away!

Safety, trust & environment
In my sitting experience, I care for the animals I’m watching just as I would care for my own dogs at home. I always ensure water dishes are full, food is given at the desired time, and medicine is administered as needed. When I’m at the house I provide potty breaks as often as necessary, depending on the specific needs of my client.
Information Jenna A. would like to know about your pet
Generally, I feel it is important for me to be aware of the dog’s demeanor as well as any health concerns before I watch them overnight or take them for their walk. If the dog is very territorial or dog aggressive, it would help me to know this before going for a walk. Also, understanding the specific health concerns will help me better accommodate for the dog’s special needs.
A typical day
I love to take the dogs I watch to their favorite play spots, like the park, or on their favorite walk! I want to keep the dogs active and keep them in the routine their owners may have for them, whether that means a daily walk, trip to the park, or play time in the yard!

Availability
I work part-time (about 20 hours/week) as well as attend college locally, so during most days I’m gone no longer than 8 hours per day, but my schedule changes for work weekly and my school schedule is different every semester.
