Bonded and Insured Professional!!

Pet care experience

I've moved to a location in Hixson, TN close to 153, Hixson Pike and 27 so have easy access to all of Chattanooga! My complex offers a bark park and plenty of walking areas for a cat friendly pup to board with me. All new boarding client dogs must be cat friendly, pass a temperament test, vaccinated (rabies, bordetella, dhlpp) and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention for the safety of all animals in my care (I care for puppies and special needs dogs, too). Discounts offered on multi-day and/or multi-pet pet care packages. Please contact me with any questions. I'm a member of Professional United Pet Sitters and Pet Sitters Associates, and have over 30 years experience with various species of animals, including horses, dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and fish. I offer personalized care to your pets in the setting they feel most comfortable, your home, and tailor my services and rates to your needs. Whether it's a walk while your working or an extended absence, I'm there for your companions!! I work part-time from home so I'm able offer daily walks, medications, feeding, dog park visits, transportation to doggy daycare, grooming or vet visits, play time, cage cleaning for small companions and birds, specialty diets for exotics, and much, much more. I also work with a variety of reptiles and amphibians, something most pet sitters are not equipped to do. In addition, I'm experienced in the care of horses and other livestock. I am available to care for the needs of your larger pets as well, from feeding to turn-out, brushing to mucking! If you are away for a show, long weekend or vacation, or if an emergency comes up, rest assured that your pets, large and small, are in good hands. I've been a certified Equine and Canine Massage Therapist since 2015 and offer massage therapy, a non-invasive technique, which can improve your equine or canine athlete's performance, decrease pain from injury and illness, relieve stress, and build bonds with abused animals.  Massage is beneficial to any animal, athlete or pet, and feels great! I hold a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences. I've been involved in FFA, 4-H and animal rescue throughout my life, as well as interning and working with vets. I've volunteered and fostered for The Boxer Rescue, Inc. (Boston) and Atlanta Boxer Rescue and have adopted two rescue Boxers of my own, who have passed over the Rainbow Bridge, and hoping to adopt my third in the near future.

Jenn was excellent! She made me feel safe leaving my fur babies with her. She sent regular pictures and updates. She really got to know each of our three dogs and offered some tips on how we could help the older two deal with the giant puppy! We will definitely use her again and would recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much Jenn!!

Jenn is a fantastic and attentive sitter. She followed all of our care instructions perfectly and gave our pups plenty of attention while we were gone. We will be booking her again for some future trips and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for anyone needing a sitter for their pets while they are aware.

Our sweet Emmy did great here! Jenn communicated with us every step of the way and provided pictures of Emmy settling into a new environment. Highly recommend!

Information Jenn V. would like to know about your pet

I always want to know the good, bad and ugly about any animal I work with. We all have our quirks. A medical history is necessary, as well, to avoid any emergencies. I'm really partial to large breeds, especially those maligned by others. I lost my Boxer, Bogey, to cancer in April 2017 and miss him terribly. I'm a Boxer lover, and always will be, but I also love the bully breeds, Rotties, Dobies, mastiffs...basically anything with a big block head! I'm a huge bird and reptile fan, and was formerly a PIJAC (Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council) Certified Avian and Reptile Specialist, so I'm really looking forward to working with more exotics!

A typical day

I have a fenced bark park at my complex so we can play fetch, tag, or just relax on the deck. Plus there is a toybox full of all kinds of toys. My Boxer loved to play fetch and I really miss him, so any ball and toy fanatics are welcome!! For dogs on the go, there are so many places to explore in Chattanooga!! I'm always up for checking out new places with a canine companion, so if your pup has a favorite walking spot or dog park I'd love to take them there. There will be plenty of cuddles, hugs and kisses, too!
