Flexible Experienced Loving Sitter

Pet care experience

Just like every sitter on Rover, I'm a responsible, respectful and experienced animal lover and house sitter with a proven track record of excellence both in care and communication. I am committed to providing the highest quality experience for your pet(s) while you are away. What sets me apart is that I'm at a point in my life where I can be very flexible to special situations. Whether you are booking last minute, taking a long trip, have a lot or a diverse array of pets, aren't sure how long you will be away, live really far from town or have a combination of needs- I encourage you to message me. I'm very flexible and open to working with you to ensure you and your pet(s) needs are met. Pets need their routine maintained to have a feeling of security while the owner is away because it can be an anxious time. I find they usually also benefit from a little extra spoonful of love. I say this with authority because I used to train dogs so I understand how a dog brain works. That's also why I get along with pretty much any dog and if I won't get along with them I can tell immediately. Let's be honest it's very much why my rates are so much higher too. That and I know Doggy CPR, administer meds successfully the first time everytime and I'm a cool head in a crisis. 'You get what you pay for' is an apt saying. Whether they live for sniffing every leaf located within four blocks of your home, a doggie ice cream (that is a thing, I've seen it) or just a good long nap on a lap I make sure I know what I can do to provide a little extra comfort for your pet. Every pet is different so I make sure I know their routine and what they love before hand. This also tends to build a little trust with your pet(s) and it's that that eases any initial anxiety while you are away. After that it's smooth sailing, in my experience, which is why I charge less for longer stays. So, that's how I operate and a little of what sets me apart from my esteemed colleagues. When in doubt always contact me. I welcome all communication. In keeping with my theme of flexibility I also have a same day cancellation policy for those last minute travel alterations. As you will see upon further scrolling, my clients have always been pleased with my level of care as I'm known to always go the extra mile for them as well as their beloved fur-besties. When I am booked by a client my time belongs to them. I do not double book multiple clients so that I can make sure I am able to provide the services and meet the expectations agreed upon and meticulously outlined at the meet which takes place before any decision to book is made. I'm known for my little blue book which I carry to all my meets and in which I outline said expectations and details to a "T". I am very transparent and I consider the care if one's pets to be a very big responsibility. If ever there is something a client needs that I , for whatever reason, cannot provide, I will be transparent as to my inability to provide said service or meet such expectation. I am fully committed to your Rover experience being top notch, even if it means another sitter may better suit your needs. How I care for your pets in your home and how I operate in your home is based upon what we agree at the meet. Before sitting for any client we will set a day and time to meet. This allows for me to make sure we accurately identify your needs and come up with a detailed plan as to how I will meet those needs. This outlines your tailored sitting experience. Also, it's a good idea to make sure your animals are naturally comfortable with me, although I have yet to meet an animal that isn't! Please note that I consider birds, fish, plant care, amphibians and reptiles as house needs and do not charge a fee for them. I do, however, charge for cats at the additional rate only - you don't have to pay another full fee for your cats unless you only have cats. I just charge the additional nightly fee based on the number. If there is no litter box, though, I am open to negotiating a lump sum rather than a nightly rate. I also don't mind light house work and small tasks such as checking the mail or putting out the recycling/trash. If you have any larger tasks or requests I am, again, always open to discussing those through messages or at the meet. I cannot stress this enogh- when in doubt, just ask!

Jenn has been an amazing dog sitter for our new puppy Maddie. She’s been so sweet to our little pup and always very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Jenn was great. She took great care of our dog bourbon and our home while we were away for a couple of days. She was easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend her if you’re looking for someone to watch your home in your pets.

With pretty little notice we were able to schedule Jenn. Our Great Danes immediately warmed up to her. Communication was constant and we felt safe with her watching our Great Danes at our house. Our girls appreciate her and we do too. We will look forward to using her again when necessary.

Safety, trust & environment

I spend time outside in the yard with the dogs or let them roam outside while I watch from inside. I do have to work a little but when I do I take frequent breaks to do things like check food and water, give one of the pets a scratch (then a different pet the next break to keep it even) or play for a few secs with the pets and every single break I check in with pets wherever they are in the house which means I see them and know they're alright.

Information Jenn S. would like to know about your pet

Ahead of time I'd like meet on zoom or in person (masked, distanced) and discuss a typical day for your pet so I can maintain their routine.

A typical day

When pet sitting it's important to learn what the pet is used to before hand because having their person/people away can be stressful so routines must be maintained for a sense of stability. Whether your pooch is used to trips to the dog park or maybe frisbee in the backyard, I want to create a feeling of comfort and safety by way of the activities known to the pet.
