Calm, Experienced Animal Lover

Pet care experience

Petsitting is my career, but I treat every animal in my care like they're my own! I've been dogwalking and petsitting since I was ten, and I give each animal individual care based on their needs. I can be either as energetic or relaxed as your pup requires. You will get professional photos of your pet with each stay and walk, and I will keep you up to date daily on their well-being throughout any longer stays. I've owned five dogs, ranging in size from a Chiweenie to a Doberman, owned six cats, a handful of small animals, and grew up on a farm. I've volunteered with pet shelters as well as helping bring therapy animals into nursing homes and hospitals. Many of the dogs I've owned have been older with medical issues, have had special needs, or have been rescued out of abusive situations, so there is no pup I won't try to befriend and care for.

Jenn is one of the most competent, caring, and thorough professionals we’ve ever worked with. She is reliable and prompt. I cannot recommend her services enough. When our dog is with Jenn, it is like she is with family.

Safety, trust & environment

I believe dogs are most comfortable in their own home environment so I work to keep up the routine they are used to as closely as I can to mitigate stress as much as possible! I do *require* a meet and greet before booking, to make sure we all work well together and so your pets feel like I am a family friend introduced to them by their trusted caregivers instead of a stranger in their home.

Information Jenn P. would like to know about your pet

I always want to know what a dog's energy level is, so I can best match it. Does your dog have a tendency to pull on the leash and what commands do they know? Does your dog have favorite toys they enjoy that you'd like me to make sure they have access to? A napping spot they love best for snuggling in with a human? Places to look for or avoid while petting your pup? Does your pet take medication at certain times of the day that you'd like me to administer? I don't believe there's such a thing as too much information when it comes to the animals I care for, so tell me all the weird and funny things your pet does!

A typical day

I can either stay overnight in your home, or can come by twice to three times a day. If I'm staying in my own home and doing a drop-in visit at your home, I will stay for 30 minutes each visit (but I can stay longer or less depending on what you prefer or your dogs need), so they can have plenty of time to eat and play in your yard, as well as being petted and loved. If you walk your dog to only have a walk, it will be 30 minutes at maximum, but if your dog is unable to walk that long it can certainly be shorter. I have a lot of elderly pups who prefer 10 or 15 minute walks, and that isn't a problem at all. If your dog has a favorite spot to play or walk, please let me know!
