I will treat your dogs like my own!
Pet care experience
I started watching dogs around my neighborhood when I was in middle school. Since then, I have watched a wide range of dogs, cats, ferrets, pigs, and chickens. I am currently unable to have a dog, so dog sitting lets me pretend I have a dog of my own. I have cared for a wide variety of breeds (Yorkie's to Great Danes) and am comfortable watching/walking more than one at once if you have a multi-dog household. I am very responsible and will care for your dogs as if they were my own. I enjoy taking long walks, playing fetch, and cuddling on the couch. I will be starting grad school at UVM this fall, so my fall availability is still to be determined based on my work load. For the summer, I do have a job with shifts that range from 6-10 hours in length. I always try to keep this in mind before committing to watching a dog since I know this can be a long time for some dogs to be left inside. So long as your dog can be alone for that long, I have a lot of availability throughout the summer. I have always bonded quickly with dogs and appreciate the chance to cuddle and shower animals with as much love as possible. I would love to have the opportunity to meet you and your pet(s) the next time you're looking for a sitter! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
Reviews
I have known Jenn for many years, and I have always been struck by her unique ability to connect with both people and animals. She is honest and responsible, and many people in our community regularly ask Jenn to watch their pets. Because of this, she was the first person I called when I needed help taking care of my dog, Buddy. I have never seen Buddy warm up to someone so quickly and easily, and he now enjoys any opportunity where he gets to see Jenn. I trust Jenn with keeping Buddy happy and entertained, but I also trust her to keep him healthy and safe. I have personally watched her calmly save a choking dog and soothe an anxious dog while removing a burr from right next to his eye. Her soothing presence was invaluable in helping me take care of buddy. I have told all of my friends that she is the first person I would ask to take care of any pet, and I promise you that you won't regret hiring her!
Having known Jenn for many years, I can say with full honesty that she is one of the most caring individuals I know. Whether she is caring for her patients in the hospital, or for the dogs and cats she loyally pet-sits for, she has a heart of gold and will selflessly take care of everyone around her. She has cared for many dogs, and will always put the pup first before doing anything. She spends endless amounts of time with them to ensure they have the best time, and puts their needs before hers. She would make a great addition to the Rover team!
Jenn has been watching our dog Kaya for years now. She has been one of the most responsible pet sitters we've had - always keeps us updated on how things are going, takes Kaya on multiple walks, and makes sure to go multiple times a day to let her out. Kaya is always so excited to see her! Jenn is absolutely wonderful!!

Information Jenn D. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know how dogs behave around other dogs and children. I often take dogs I watch on hikes or to parks where other animals are present and would need to reevaluate those activities if a dog has certain behavioral needs.
A typical day
I like walks along the Burlington waterfront, up Mt. Philo in Charlotte, or out to the Whale Tails in Williston. We can play fetch and go on car rides if your dog likes hanging his or her head out the window. Depending on the time of year, swimming is also a fun option!
