Quality pet-care from a SAHM!

Pet care experience

Please read through my profile before reaching out as I cannot accept all dogs as much as I would love to! Thanks so much! * With the holidays approaching please note that I cannot accommodate pick ups/drop offs on the actual holiday. Thank you! Hi! My name is Jenn and I am a stay at home mom with two daughters and one black lab mix! I want to share a little about our family and what your pup can expect during a stay in our home! I have always had dogs and couldn't imagine life without one. Our dog Kenzie is an important member of our family and I know many people feel the same way about their animals. Leaving our beloved pets in the care of someone else can be stressful. I have definitely shed some tears when leaving my dogs with someone else. I take this into account when caring for someone else’s pet. Your dog will receive a warm and happy welcome into our home as I treat each and every doggy guest exactly how I expect my girl to be treated. Take comfort in knowing that I will care of your dogs as if they were my own. They will receive as much love and attention as they want or need. I am home most of the day and my husband works from home 3 days a week. Your pup will never be left alone for extended periods of time. We have two daughters aged 8 and 5 who are dog lovers and big helpers! They share a love of animals with their Mama. We also have our 10 year old black lab who loves having new playmates! There are a few important details to read over. I love all dogs but not all dogs are the perfect fit for our home and vice versa. Please read below. 1. Your dog MUST like children. As previously mentioned I have two young daughters who are excited to snuggle and love your dog! If your pup isn’t a fan of kids then our home will not be a good fit. 2. Your dog MUST like dogs. As mentioned we have an older female black lab (and possibly two or three other dogs boarding at any given time) so dog friendly is important. Our Kenzie is still somewhat playful but also enjoys her alone time. We think she is slowing down a bit in her older age but she gets spurts of energy for a good game of tug or chase! If your dog doesn’t do well with other dogs then our home will not be a good fit. 3. I require a meet and greet before any stay. We need to be sure our dogs will be fine spending some time together and see if everyone feels comfortable with the arrangement. Humans also! I want you to feel at ease when leaving your dog in my care. 4. I only accept potty trained dogs and offer many potty breaks/walks throughout the day. If your dog is a marker then they will not be allowed to roam free in our home and I will need to use a belly band. I take pride in our home and want it to stay clean and comfortable for all my doggy guests. Accidents happen but consistent marking is not ok. If use of a belly band/doggie diaper is necessary I will of course let you know. 5. Crate trained for overnight sleeping is now required. We have crates here or you are free to bring your own. I have found that most crate trained dogs prefer their own crates. I’m sure it smells like home for them. 6. We DO NOT have a fenced in back yard. We take take the dogs on frequent walks and and they get many potty breaks throughout the day! My husband loves hiking and enjoys taking the dogs on his adventures. The dogs play with one another and my girls love engaging the pups in play! You may end up with a picture of your dog dressed in a princess dress or attending a tea party. 7. Please make sure your dog is utd on all shots and flea/tick prevention. If you can send me copies of their vaccination records that is most helpful. 8. Please take note that my holiday rates are higher than my nightly rates. 9. I’m flexible with pick up and drop off times and will ask the day before or day of for an estimated time of arrival. I have found it’s easier on the dogs if drop off is earlier in the day. That way they can spend time acclimating to our family. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! I want your dog to be comfortable in our home. We truly enjoy spending time with all different dogs and they will love being with us!

Jenn and her family have taken care of Duke several times. She makes him feel comfortable and at home while we are away. We love receiving her updates, especially of Duke snuggled up with everyone at the end of the day.

Jenn did an awesome job caring for our golden who gets anxious when she is away from her family. Our dog adjusted to her new “home” quickly thanks to Jenn’s deep understanding of dogs and their needs! Will definitely use Jenn again and give her a 10 star rating!
