I grew up with the best yellow lab named Skipper. He was patient and loving and made me love dogs. From there, my family spent many years volunteering for the Guiding Eyes for the Blind. We took puppies into our home for a few nights at a time and helped them adjust to normal house behaviors and learn commands. I'm not quite ready to own a dog of my own right now but caring for a dog is something I really miss. They make me so happy and any dog I spend time with I'll always treat as if they were my own. Rover sounds like the perfect community to do what I love while making sure all the dogs out there are loved too!
