I'm most known for exceptional care for special needs pets, including seniors and those needing palliative/hospice care. But of course I'm also here for their younger, easier years! I offer them all: ~ lots of attention and regular massages/belly rubs during the day (I work from home and was a professional massage therapist in a previous career, with canine/feline training) ~ solo care (no other pets during their stay) ~ walks every few hours, including once to the beach/park if you like ~ experience with seniors and special medical needs/diets ~ regular connection with you, via daily photo/text updates ~ a dog bed in every room (in addition to any you'd like to bring from home), including a heated one (especially helpful for senior dogs with arthritis or pain) ~ pool parties on my deck, weather permitting ~ animal entertainment videos when I go out ~ oral hygiene chew and soothing music before bed ~ optional spa day with bath (extra fee) A natural animal lover, I've petsat nearly continuously since 2012 and have done well over 100 sits for friends and on the website Trusted Housesitters. I have a car and love bringing dogs on adventures such as the beach, but am also comfortable with less active/social ones. I'm a business owner (Pandora's Pops, a holistic candy company, based in Manhattan on Broadway and 25th), working from "home," and am therefore able to give pets and plants lots of attention. (I use quotes around "home" because I regularly petsit in other folks' homes while I work.) Before traveling so much, I always had pets of my own. Now I am "favorite aunt" to a rotation of animals and am regularly compared to Mary Poppins (for pets, not children). In most cases, I've returned for multiple stints at the same home/same pets, over years. With my holistic health background, communication skills and sense of responsibility, I have sometimes been able to help with pets with special medical needs and senior animals, cases where pet owners often don't feel comfortable leaving home. I also can take care of plants and maintain great relations with neighbors, although I do prefer a quiet life at home. I have held down the fort for a home above Napa Valley, CA during fire season. I'm known for reliability, confidentiality, helping sick animals gain an appetite, administering medication, wearing restless dogs out with relentless fetch, and taking candid pet pictures.
