Pet care experience
We are your dog's 2nd family! When staying with us your dog won't be with strangers he/she will be part of our family. Our family consists of me, my husband Paul, our 9 year old adopted husky mix "Coby", our 2 year old Black Russian Terrier "Rurik" and a few human kids (ages 7+) too. We have a spacious single-family home on a quiet cul-de-sac with a large yard. I grew up with dogs and in my entire life, there have only been a few months where I didn't have a dog. I will work with you to ensure that your pup has the best experience with us, and will provide you regular "pup-dates" during their stay. I have previously worked as a brusher/bather at a grooming shop and have experience with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments of dogs. I often work from home to be able to provide potty breaks as needed, supervised playtime, and interaction. No being left home alone all day, and we subscribe to DogTV as well as Furbo so when we are out, your dog is entertained and we can actively keep an eye on them! As a heads up, I will probably ask a lot of questions about your pups' routines to make sure that they feel as close to home as possible.

I cannot say enough good things about Jen. We left our one year old golden retriever with her for a week and he came back a changed puppy. Not only did she provide daily pictures and updates, she also helped train him and provided an additional fabulous grooming service as well. Jen is a gem, we would absolutely 100% recommend her and use her again in a heartbeat. Great communicator, great care, a true dog whisperer!

Jen cared for our 2 ½-year-old, 70-lb. Austrian Labradoodle during our daughter’s wedding weekend. It was clear from the moment that we dropped him off on Friday afternoon that our dog was in very capable hands. Jen was extremely professional and thorough as she collected and entered in her notebook the pertinent information about our dog’s diet; walking, playing and sleeping habits; as well as how he interacted with other dogs and people. She made him feel at ease in his new surroundings. Throughout the weekend she kept us informed about what he was doing through text messages and photos. We felt very comfortable that he was having a good stay with her family. When we picked him up on Monday morning, she gave us a full report on his behavior throughout the weekend, which is helpful to us for future rover.com engagements. She did all of this in a completely pet friendly and loving manner and we highly recommend her!
Jen was fantastic with our sweet pup Milo! She and her family truly treated Milo like he was one of their own, and Milo had a blast with their dog Coby (evidenced by Milo sleeping like a log almost all of the next day haha). Jen was very detail oriented when asking about Milo’s routine and care, and she sent us lots of photos during his stay so that we knew he was in good hands. I would highly recommend Jen!

All dogs are kept on a leash in the yard. Inside they have full access to our home with multiple water bowls out in various locations on each floor to ensure everyone stays hydrated. Meals are fed in separate areas of the house and supervised until everyone is done eating. For the slow eaters who get too distracted to eat their breakfast, we will put it down for them again around lunch time.

Does your dog have any dietary restrictions/concerns? Any history of aggression with people, food, or other animals? What are the rules at your house? If you don't allow dogs on your sofa, we won't either to avoid encouraging "bad" behavior when they go home. I have no breed restrictions - however, if you have a dog that is heavily shedding, please let me know and send him with a brush. At this time we are not accepting dogs under 15 pounds as Ru doesn't realize his size.
A typical day
Some examples of what we will do include, playing in the yard, going for local walks, drives around town, local hikes and extended walks on the rail trail. And of course lots of cuddles!
