Pet care experience
📸 Galleries Now Available! Paws and Breathe...Holistic pet care in your home means that not only are the furry babies loved in their own space with their own routines, beds, friends, and toys; I keep your home safe and occupied while you're away. You can travel worry-free, knowing your plants will be watered, deliveries will be safely received, and your home kept clean. SERVICE FEES: Please add non-dog/cat pets as an additional dog so that I am paid appropriately to care for the correct number of pets. ABOUT ME: I'm an empty nester, artist and photographer who has cared for cats, dogs, bunnies, chickens, ducks, goats, donkeys, sheep, and a partridge in a pear tree. I have fostered, homed and adopted rescue dogs, cats, and ducks, and have a special affinity for those who need a little something extra; attention, space, warmth, gentle talking for the shy ones, playtime and puzzle solving for the working breeds, and for the more dominant dogs, I establish a confident hierarchy so that they know I'm Alpha/the protector. Anxious pets tend to gravitate towards me as a safe person. Ok, maybe there have been no partridges...yet.
Reviews
Jen did a great job caring for our senior dog and left the house very tidy. We’d hire her again!
Jen was amazing! This was our first time leaving the dogs while we went on vacation. Even though we missed the dogs terribly, we were completely at ease knowing Jen was taking care of them. She was incredibly responsive and showered us with plenty of pictures….just what we needed. Highly, highly recommend Jen.
Jen was completely perfect for our sweet senior pittie. She has such a calm demeanor that our pup loved! Jen was also a phenomenal house sitter. We also really appreciated her updates and photos of their time together.
We are so happy we found Jen! She is kind, reliable, communicative and so great with Wrigiey! Would love to have her back again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pets feel so much more comfortable with a new person when I'm there consistently, and they can build trust with me more quickly, without disruption in their routines or familiar locations. Yes, your dog(s) can sleep in bed with me. ☺️ Check out my instagram page (@jensitswithpets) for more photos, information, humor, and inspiration!
Information Jen W. would like to know about your pet
Dogs must be house trained and at least 1 year old. I love puppies, but don't like getting up in the middle of the night. I ask pertinent questions at the first meeting. Any background is helpful, especially for rescues, so that there is context to any problematic behavior (usually explained by a fear or trauma response and not a naughty dog.) I like to read up on the breed(s) so I know more about their specific needs and personality traits. Dog breeds are SO different, and I customize their care accordingly.
A typical day
I'm a leisurely walker (not a runner or strenuous walker,) so we will mosey around the neighborhood and sniff around. Then we will probably snuggle and binge Netflix while I crochet.

ON A TYPICAL DAY... I work remote, so I am generally at your home and with your pets all day & night. Because I will be working from your home, I just require a good internet connection and a clear space to work on my laptop.
