I grew up in Central Oregon with dogs, cats, horses, and ferrets. My Mom often took in animals that her 4th/5th grade students decided to give up. I thus have experience with a variety of animals and love them all! I spent 2.5 years living in Senegal, West Africa where I rescued an abandoned basenji mix (she now lives with my parents on 20 acres in Oregon as she likes to patrol their property--its her self-appointed job:) ). During this time I was also able to volunteer with the Jane Goodall Institute where I had the opportunity to support orphan chimpanzees that were a part of the wildlife trade. I remain on the Board of Directors for ProjectPrimates a non-profit that supports orphaned chimps. Back to dogs--- I currently have a 2-year old cattle dog mix Pinyon and love spending time with her and other dogs! I am available mainly for in-home pet/house-sitting but can provide walks, hikes, or drop-in visits as agreed upon with you. Thank you for reading, Jen
