Superior care with lots of love!

Pet care experience

*New Rover customers can use promo code JENP40985 for $20 dollars off their first booking with me! I’m Jen and I’m excited to meet you and your fur babies. I give what they give us, unconditional love and attention. I’ve volunteered and fostered many animals until they found their forever homes. I’ve had dogs and cats all my life and I’ve always cared for my neighbors, friends and family members pets. I have 3 little babies of my own and and a couple homeless kitties I care for. I’m often the one holding up traffic while I try to rescue the lost dog roaming the side of the of the road. I made the choice to join Rover after a disturbing site I witnessed during a routine appointment during the Christmas holidays. While bringing us to our room the tech accidentally opened the wrong door! I was shocked at what I saw before she quickly closed the door. They had overbooked so much they were using exam rooms to store/stack the dogs. They literally had crates stacked to the ceiling and every crate had a dog in it, stressed and barking! They chose to endanger those animals to make more profit. You can’t convince me those animals got exercise or potty breaks the way they needed. I called a few boarding facilities when I needed a sitter for my three for a vacation. Their response was there’s a camera on site while no one is onsite from 7pm-7am! I’m pretty certain no one’s staying up all night watching that camera. Even when they have a camera…that camera can’t protect them from fire, theft, storms etc. Accidents happen, things happen. As for me I need reassurance that my animals are 100% safe and taken care of because they are family and loved dearly! Using a pet sitter may be a little more money but, I believe it’s worth it when you know they are getting the same care and attention they’d get at home 24/7! If they cry during a storm, I can hear them and comfort them. If they have to go potty through the night, I can take them outside to potty. If they whine because they are afraid or miss their owners, I’m gonna do whatever it takes to help them feel better. Believe me, I’ve spent plenty of nights sleeping along side of a dog bed🤪 to keep them from crying! If I’d do this for my own, I promise I’ll be doing the same for yours. I also have young adults at home that share my passion caring for animals that are always happy to give attention and love to more animals. I want to ensure I’m the best match and I’m able to give your pet the care it deserves. My goal is to give you 100% peace of mind whether I’m boarding in your home or mine, doggie daycare, dog walking or doing drop-in visits with your pet. (Holiday rates for an extra dog or cat and puppies is not calculated accurately in the Rover app. There is a $10 dollar discount of the Holiday rate and puppies are $60 a night so, $5 dollars more during Holidays. The total cost will need to be adjusted and approved manually prior to both parties accepting the booking. The prices listed are not in stone. I do feel every dogs needs and temperament are different and if there’s anything you’d like to speak on in detail pertaining I’m very open to that conservation). My goal and main priority is to ensure your dog or cat is safe, happy and cared for with all the love and attention I give my own. This I can promise you!)

I was a first time Rover user with 2 young puppies. Too young for a normal boarder. We had a wedding that had been planned for months that we needed to stay overnight for. I went through Rover and read all of the profiles that will keep them in their home, after reading every review and looking through all of the pictures, I decided to reach out to Jen. She was very responsive and agreed on short notice to keep them overnight. She was awesome about sending pictures and videos to let me know they were doing good! She also sent them home with 2 new toys that they love! I would use her again and would recommend her to anyone looking.

Jen and her family are so nice and they love our little man. He is always happy to hear he will spend some time with them. You will not be disappointed if you leave your fur baby in Jen's care.

Jen was awesome as always! Sydney knows where we are going once we turn into the neighborhood and immediately gets excited and starts to whine. He loves his stays with Jen. We always have a worry free trip when he is with Jen because we know that he is being well cared for. Thank you so much for all you do Jen, you are greatly appreciated!

Information Jen P. would like to know about your pet

I do ask for a copy of your vets shot and vaccine records to have on file prior to your arrival. This is for the safety of my dogs and any other dogs I’m boarding. I'll forwardmy email once we confirm I'm caring for your pet. Flea and tick control is important for the health and safety of our pets so, I would appreciate the assurance they are on a maintenance plan. What is your feeding schedule, daily activities and bedtime routine? Are they afraid of thunder and lightning? How are they around other dogs? Are there any triggers that make them stressed, afraid or angry? Is your dog spayed or neutered? Is your dog fully house trained? Do you know if your dog marks when they come to another’s home? If your dog marks or shows signs of marking belly bands or diapers will be required at an additional cost if not provided. Is your dog crate trained? Where does your dog usually sleep? Do you allow them on the furniture or bed? Do they know basic commands? How are they around small dogs? My dogs are small, one only 4.5 pounds so, I do keep them separate from my dogs unless I’m 100% confident there are no aggression issues. This usually does not happen until your pet has stayed with us a few times. Have they shown signs of separation anxiety? If left alone for any period of time will they bark? If they sleep in a crate, will they bark through the night? Do they chew or scratch when they are alone and/or anxious? Does your dog take daily walks? Does your dog have any health issues I should know about?

A typical day

Stimulating physically and mentally important so, I enjoy incorporating activities that will keep them entertained. I’ll accommodate their needs or work in my own like playing fetch, hide and seek with treats or a special toy. Taking walks is something we do often, weather permitting. If the weathers rainy, hot or too cold we’ll manage inside and use the backyard for potty breaks.
