I prefer handling smaller to medium dogs only because they are easier for me to handle when walking & picking up for baths, play, etc.. Although I have no specific breed preferences or problems with any certain age of dogs when it comes to boarding (all dogs are awesome & just need patience & understanding). I do prefer when boarding at my home: that you inform me beforehand if your pup can be aggressive or nippy towards other dogs & cats or has any food aggression. If they are type to be overly vocal/howl when anxious so we can find a way to prevent these behaviors as well as the separation anxiety as much as possible. That being said I always ask the pet parent to bring something from home that has their smell so the animal has a familiar scent nearby. As I have my own pets including seniors with special needs that are all quite calm/relaxed in demeanor it is my goal to allow every animal to enjoy my home as if it were their own, with minimal stress so that all the fur babies are happy! :)

I live within walking distance of Veterans dog park so we can go there for fun if I'm boarding your pup at my place, besides playing with toys & fetch in my own fenced yard/garden. If we are staying at your house we can always go explore the neighborhood or play in your yard/pup approved exercise area. Also, I enjoy cuddling & snacks of course! I always have a movie or smooth jazz music playing for the animals during the day when indoors so they are entertained when I'm busy or running errands. Then of course I offer baths, brushing/grooming fur, and nail trims while they are staying over too. :)
