Pet care experience
I grew up with a wonderful miniature schnauzer full of spunk, and two sweet, large, black and tan coonhounds as well as a small menagerie of pets. I've cared for dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, hamsters, lizards, salamanders, sheep, goats, chickens, horses, and cattle. For more than ten years I've been loving pets & homes while owners travel. I've done lots of house and pet sitting - both internationally and in the U.S. Because I "work from home," I'm able to spoil your pets and property with attention. I've dealt with solar systems, wells, coal heat, gardens, farm animals, pools, spas, fountains, and more! I'm an excellent handy woman and problem solver. I have a photographic memory, so I retain instructions and demonstrations exceptionally well. I am a non-smoker. I am accustomed to having and keeping a home tidy and neat: I care for homes as though they are my own. I consider myself very responsible, reliable, and loyal. I've primarily connected with homeowners through other platforms and word of mouth, so I can provide additional references from those sources if needed. I also can provide Corvallis references. We were so pleased for the wonderful care that Jema provided for our thirteen year old dog while we were away! We appreciated all the extras that she did...(bouquet of violets, picked up the mail and even did a vacuum touch up..) Her daily emails kept us worry free! Nice person to have in our home!
Jema house sat for us for the first two weeks of August, 2015. She took wonderful, meticulous notes about everything, so that she would be sure to take good care of everything. She was responsible for our two dogs, one cat, 10 fish, garden, flower pots, bird feeders and our car. Jema got along well with our dogs, took them on a walk every morning at 7:15 am (good way to tire them out right off the bat!) :-) She had use of our car, was conscientious about using up food before it would go to waste, and took meticulous notes about how every day had gone and was able to let us know details we needed to know about the two weeks we were gone. She did use our van and took very good care of it. Our house was clean and neat when we got home. She was excellent in every aspect and we would definitely have her house sit again and cannot recommend her more highly to any other people who need a house/pet sitter.
We were fortunate enough to have Jema house sit for us on several occasions for periods ranging from a few days to several weeks. We live on a small farm and have a large vegetable garden, orchard and lots of animals (chickens, dog, horses) to care for. We can say without reservation that Jema is an exceptional house sitter! We found her to be absolutely responsible and trustworthy and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. She is a reliable, neat, orderly and clear thinking person capable of dealing with any situation that presents and willing and able to problem solve on issues where no guidance is given. Jema amazed us with her energy and enthusiasm. In addition to her seriously good gardening skills such as pruning fruit trees she can operate just about any type of machinery. She is very observant also, so is able to anticipate and deal with situations before they get out of hand. We wouldn't hesitate to have Jema house sit for us again. Anyone else who comes to sit for us is unlikely to measure up.
