Pet care experience
I’ve had a number of dogs that my family’s had for over 10 years, with lots of care going into them, and for a time I volunteered at the Placer SPCA. In order to work there I had to take several classes involving how to work with and socialize with dogs. Those classes included reading dog body language, how to approach dogs, and also how to respond to dog behavior. I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to work with dogs, considering how well I get along with them and how much I love them. I’ve also worked as a lifeguard for 3 summers in the past so I have experience in responding to emergency situations should anything arise. When it comes to meeting new dogs, I’ve had experience with the many dogs of the people I know, and every time I’ve been able to introduce myself properly and when necessary work towards the dog being comfortable with me, even with more typically reserved dogs. Additionally, I’ve cared for foster cats, and I’ve absolutely adored them. I would love the opportunity to care for cats as well.

Jeff was really accommodating. He took great care of my pups. I was so happy to see the pics of my pups snuggling with him while I was gone because it was one less thing I had to worry about. My place was clean when I got back and he took care of my packages that arrived while I was gone too. I appreciate everything you did, Jeff! The first time Jeffrey came over my dogs instantly went crazy for him. He is for sure the dog whisperer always so kind to the doggies and they always want his attention! Jeff would be perfect for you & your fur babies as a pet sitter. :)

I give dogs at least 30 minutes of exercise in the early in the day, before or after their meal depending on their usual routine. They’ll get another round or two of exercise in the day depending on the breed. This exercise can be interchanged with toy play or something similarly mentally stimulating. I make sure to through some basic obedience as well. As long as the dog has no possession issues, I let them sleep with me as well. I make sure to take them out every two hours when I’m home. I make sure to give them lots of love and affection too, but I make sure that they settle down and respond to a command such as sit before they do.

A typical day
A day will consist of two or three walks, some basic obedience coupled with treats and/or toys, and plenty of couch time coupled with pets. Your pet can look forward to sleeping in bed with me at the end of the day.

I work for doordash and Uber. Due to this, I can alter my daily work schedule for any pet sitting needs, giving me a very flexible schedule.
