Jeff is a great dog person. To exemplify this, an old story... We were on a road trip on our way to an event in a neighboring state. Hunger struck. We pulled off at a stop that was popular with truckers, so you know it's at least mediocre. We filled our tummies, enjoyed mingling with the laid-back country folk, paid our tab, and went on our way. On our way back out to the car, there was this brownish dog wondering the parking lot. We made quick friends with her, gave her a few pats on the head; but we had to be on our way. We hopped back into the Jeff's car. As he opened the door to let himself in, the dog helped herself first, perched herself in the middle of the front seat, and sat down as if to say "Ok, I'm ready, let's get back on the road!" She had no collar. We checked with the restaurant, and they said she had been wandering the parking lot for a day or so. It was clear her owner had lost her somewhere along the way. Jeff shrugged his shoulders and said, "Looks like I've got myself a dog!" It was a great trip from there. She and Jeff became best friends. When he brought her home and bathed and trimmed her, he found that she (later to be named "Joanie") had a brilliant white fur, not the dingy brown we originally thought. Seeing his close relationship with this vagabond of a dog, proved to me how much of a dog person he is.
