We began caring for vacationing homeowners' pets and homes, because it combines our love of animals and our delight in experiencing new locales. We believe it significantly reduces your pets' stress when they are in their own home environment while you're away. We strive to learn as much as possible about your pets' unique likes, routines and behavior, so they can become comfortable with the new "guardian" before you leave. We understand your pets need love, companionship and as much consistency as possible -- we are also are very careful to maintain your home as if it were our own, as a "placeholder" while you're away, we strive to maintain as light a "footprint" as possible. We're also just fine doing the little tasks that keep your home functioning while you're away, such as bringing in the mail, taking care of houseplants, etc. Having cared for a number of luxury homes, We're also very comfortable with keypad and electronic security systems. We've dealt with so many different breeds -- border collie, sheep dog, pomeranian, terriers, standard poodle, retrievers, even pit bulls and bull dogs -- Iwehave really grown to appreciate all the special qualities they offer. Why we love dog sitting Our most extensive period with dogs began when our neighbor brought home her 2 month old border collie. As she and her husband traveled often, Iwe had the little collie with us extensively during her puppy and young adult years, and have a very special relationship with her and her family. Since beginning our house and pet care, we have had the opportunity to spend extended periods of time with any number of breeds, including Havanese, sheep dog, standard poodle, retrievers, Pomeranian, cockapoos, spaniels, cairn and West Highland terriers, even pit bulls and bull dogs! My experience administering medication I have administered oral medication frequently (in food). We are full time house/pet sitters. We do some light, online work so we can devote our full time attention to an owner's pets and their needs. Because we only sit it the pet owner's home, the safety and environment is the same as the pet(s) are accustomed to. We are very good listeners and make sure we understand any cautions and risks in the pets' home environment.
