My focus is on treating pets as I would friends and family. For much of my life, I've moved on/off because I grew up in a military family and then later started jobs that required me to travel. Over that course of time, I've been fortunate in getting to understand (and evolve) how to be away from my pets and how to avoid feeling a huge amount of anxiety anymore when I leave them behind with sitters. In turn, as I've seen since sitting cats and dogs here on Rover, I've become very adept at offering that same feeling/security to my clients and It's been my great pleasure to share what I've learned with every new client/friend I meet. To give you more specifics on my sitting style: I work from home, at home a great deal (not 24/7), and have a dog park near me @ Villages at Domain. Your doggo will have some scheduled walks around North Austin and doggy companions on standby whenever they want to get some exercise/play. My favorite dogs (& humans) are those with shelter/rescue pups, but I accept all pups of all breeds and sizes. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. When it comes to dogs, I live by the golden rule, which says that I’ll always treat your pup as if they were my own family. I know how important every dog is to its owner, so it’s my duty to make sure they have all the happiness in the world! I love going above the call of duty for dogs, so it really just is second nature for me to spoil them a little bit.
