We're a quiet, responsible couple, who began pet-sitting five years ago as a way to travel the world. After 20+ sits - ranging from the French Alps to Tasmania! - we joined Rover in 2022 to offer local pet-sitting services for our northern Michigan neighbors. We now provide cat drop-ins for new clients, and house sits for pre-existing clients. Our cat drop-ins include high-quality time with your kitties and at least one photo per visit. We are happy to match your cat's energy, whether they just want someone to be present, or if they want lap time, brushing, or playtime. We love cats, and we are happy to make them feel safe, loved, and in their regular routine while their people are away. About us: Jeff grew up near Traverse City while Kelly is a more recent transplant. We moved to northern Michigan after successful careers in New York - Jeff as a university administrator and Kelly as a managing director for a nonprofit. We are lucky to be mostly retired, though both of us do part-time freelance work in addition to hanging out with cats through Rover :). Our flexible schedule means we're happy to spend lots of quality time at home with your cats, particularly if they need extra love and attention while you're away. Our experience: We love cats, and had a cat ourselves in New York, who lived a long happy life with us. After five years of providing cat sitting services, we still love getting to know new cat friends, and we pride ourselves on taking really good care of them. In addition to our sits through Rover, we've completed more than twenty sits with another pet-sitting platform (one more geared toward travel) with 100% five star reviews and 5 repeat sits. We've watched indoor and outdoor cats, long hair and short hair cats, friendly cats, snuggly cats, playful cats, and cats who want to make sure we're ok before they trust us :). Many of our sits these days are repeats - we love returning to our favorite places and pets. We are also happy to keep your plants in good form. Booking process: We always request a complimentary meet and greet before agreeing to a drop in. Please know we may decline an offer following a meet and greet if we feel we are not the best fit for your home or cat.
