Pet care experience
Pet care experience: I have been taking care of various pets for family, friends, and neighbors since I was in elementary school. I started using Rover in particular during the summer of 2021. Spending time with animals is both rewarding as well as soothing for me. I have experience feeding, walking, playing with, and giving oral medication to animals.
Reviews
Thank you so much Jeff for taking care of my Lily and being so attentive to her!! I also loved the beautiful photos you took! Highly recommend!
Jeff did an incredible job. We have two very spoiled babies (dogs) and he stayed at our house. Our vacation was very relaxing because we knew our furry kids were in good hands by the daily updates and photos Jeff sent. Our dogs were actually smiling in the photos! We STRONGLY recommend Jeff!
Jeff is always great- good communication and fantastic photos.
Jeff is our go to dog sitter! Our dogs love him, he’s super responsive, and he takes amazing pictures of them! Highly recommend him to anyone else looking for someone reliable to watch their pets. Thanks Jeff!

Safety, trust & environment
Ensuring safety: While outside, your animals will be leashed so that they won't run away. If you have a fenced yard, then they won't be leashed (unless otherwise specified), but will still be supervised. In order to maintain safety and trust between you, your animals, and myself, I provide one complementary meet and greet for every first-time booking. Additional meet and greets will be booked as a standard drop-in. Meet and greets are typically around 30 minutes long, and ensure that everyone will be comfortable during the booking.
Information Jeff H. would like to know about your pet
Before a stay, I will need the following information from you. Much of this will be covered during the meet and greet: - Do your animals take medication? - Contact information for your preferred vet/animal hospital. I haven't had any problems yet, but I'd rather have this information and not need it than need it and not have it! - Do your animals have any special accommodations? Please leave written instructions about your animals to ensure that your booking goes as smoothly as possible.
A typical day
What a typical day looks like: Drop-In visits/walks: These will be 30-60 minutes long, depending on what you book. During a drop-in visit, I will replenish water and food, play with your animal, give them treats, pet them, change litter boxes when needed, etc. Depending on the layout of where you live, I may also be able to take your animals for a quick walk during this time. For longer visits and bookings that are strictly a walk, I will take your animals on a longer walk around the area. Stay-in visits: During the day, your animals and I will play, go for walks, listen to music, and watch tv/movies. If you have any trails or parks that your animals enjoy visiting, please let me know. If I need to be gone longer than expected, I will still make sure to check in on your animals throughout the day.

Availability
My Schedule: Drop-In visits/walks: Pet sitting is my career, so I typically have quite a bit of control over my schedule and can fit in drop-ins at just about any time. I arrive at drop-ins within a window of 30 minutes before/after the requested time. Stay-In Visits: During stay-ins, your house becomes my "home base." I will stay overnight at your home with your animals, make sure that they are taken out throughout the day, feed them breakfast and dinner, play with them, etc. Because I also do drop-ins and have personal errands, responsibilities, and activities to take care of, there will be times where I will be out of the house for a few hours, but I try not to be gone for more than 4-5 hours at a time.
