Pet care experience
I have been around dogs my entire life, so of course my love for dogs started early. So did my appreciation for them when it comes to their companionship and love, because when it comes down to it they are family. I also respect their tenacity and joy for life that comes so naturally to them. Being a former dog handler in the Marines has increased my knowledge about what it takes to be a positive source of encouragement for our four legged friends. Knowing how to properly care for dogs both physically and emotionally goes beyond the normal feeding and grooming. Having compassion and understanding for individual needs increases peace of mind for both owner and pet. I would be honored to take care of your four legged family members. As far as the care goes, our home is set up with three separate areas for your pet to enjoy. There is our garage, laundry room and living area. We also have a doggy gate to help with any issue that may occur. We have a good size backyard and both my wife and I are able to be home to make sure the best care is provided for your pet.

We were in town for a few weeks and after my dog's first stay with Jeff, she was so happy to come back and spend time with Jeff and his crew. Any time we are in Grand Junction, we will certainly be looking Jeff up!!

Jeff and Jessie did a great job carrying for Luka during his 3 week stay. They were a last minute find as my previous Rover sitter had to moved unexpectedly. They calmed him through the July 4 fireworks and a series of thunderstorms, administered his meds properly and were adaptable to his needs. Luka was happy and stress-free when I picked him up. They have a nice yard and are easy to work with. They were able to keep him an extra night when our flight was delayed.
My dog absolutely LOVES spending time with Jeff and crew. She spends the day with Jeff while I'm at work...she is practically pacing while I get ready for work bc she can't wait to start her day with Jeff and crew. He's very good and keeping me posted on their day and sending pics of my pup. I strongly recommend Jeff to watch your dog!

Every animal that I have watched or taken care of for multiple days, I treat like my own animal. I understand and appreciate the love that people have for their animals, and it is part of my morals and ethics personality, to make sure that the owner and the animal feel as though they are together when they are apart.

The most important thing for me to know about a dog or cat ahead of time is maybe the dog’s or cat's temperament towards people, their daily schedule, including feeding and how frequently they need bathroom breaks. What they enjoy doing ie dog park, and any commands or any tricks that will be helpful in the course of the visit.
A typical day
With our dog, we try to make it to the park every day at least twice a day. If we can’t do that we walk around our neighborhood twice a day( about a mile). We also fill his day with trick training or simple obedience training. He’s also very young so we understand that he needs to sleep a lot so there’s plenty of time for rest. It also depends on the clients request, and if there are any special instructions on what they like to do with their animal during the day. Like going to the dog park or surrounding areas.
